While the auto industry is increasingly shifting towards electric vehicles, many people are still unaware that the differences between electric and gasoline car tires are not just aesthetic, but also related to performance, longevity and fuel economy. Here are the main factors that affect electric and gasoline car tires:

Weight and load: One of the most important factors between electric and gasoline car tires is the weight of the vehicle. Electric cars weigh significantly more due to the high-capacity batteries they have to be equipped with. This requires tires with better load-bearing capacity, and sometimes special designs to suit the electric model. Electric car batteries can weigh between 300 and 600 kg, which increases the total weight of the vehicle and creates greater stress on the tires.

Torque and traction: Electric vehicles are characterized by their high torque output from the moment they are started, creating a strong and sudden acceleration. This can have a strong impact on the tires, especially when the vehicle accelerates quickly or moves on slippery surfaces. Electric vehicles also require tires with good traction and a quick response to instant torque. This is important for safety and driving performance. In contrast, gasoline cars do not develop strong torque immediately, so the force applied to the tires is often less and the tire's control may not be as sudden as on electric vehicles.

Noise and performance: Another point worth noting is noise levels. Electric cars have very quiet engines, so the noise comes mainly from the tires and the road surface. According to a report from Tire Review, a website specializing in tire technology, tire manufacturers are now focusing on noise reduction in electric vehicle tires. Electric vehicle tires must be designed to minimize friction noise, providing a smoother and more pleasant driving experience. In contrast, gasoline cars with larger engines, although creating more noise, do not have to put pressure on their tires to reduce noise like electric vehicles.

Tire life and durability: Tire life and durability are also important factors to consider. Electric vehicle tires, because they have to bear heavy loads and strong torque, may wear out faster than gasoline car tires. However, with today's advanced technology, tire manufacturers are developing special tires with better load-bearing materials, extending their life and improving their performance. In short, electric vehicle tires and gasoline car tires have obvious differences in design and technical requirements. Electric vehicles require tires with heavy load-bearing capacity, strong grip and noise reduction, while gasoline cars focus on tire stability and durability.
