Canh Luan and the persistent breakthrough

Canh Luan is an English teacher with an IELTS score of 8.0 and a TOEIC score of 990. He is also a book author and social media content creator loved by many young people.

Constant effort

Since his school days, Luan has been practicing concentration, patience, and diligence. According to him, in order for an individual to continuously develop and conquer memorable milestones, he needs to have confidence in himself and be decisive in his actions. Whenever he has a new idea, Luan will make a detailed plan to implement it. A serious mindset and a consistent lifestyle have helped him a lot in his journey to maturity.

Luan is a former student of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted. He was admitted to the Foreign Trade University in Ho Chi Minh City and received a full scholarship from RMIT University Vietnam. Luan chose to study at two schools at the same time until his third year, when he was able to participate in a student exchange at RMIT University Australia for two semesters. In 2016, after graduating from RMIT, Luan was retained as a research assistant there, while continuing his program at the Foreign Trade University. In 2019, Luan graduated from the Foreign Trade University and just one year later, he established an English teaching center. The courses designed to meet the diverse needs of the community quickly attracted thousands of students.

Canh Luan brought a lot of interesting and useful information to the public in the program "Travel English, the key to expanding global opportunities" organized by Zenbooks on April 5.

In 2024, Canh Luan released the bilingual poetry collection "Someone Will Love Me So Much" and received many positive responses from readers. It can be said that meticulousness and a passionate work ethic are the keys to Canh Luan's success, no matter what goals he pursues or at what stage.

Desire to serve

Not only passionate about teaching, Luan also devotes a lot of effort to creating content. On his TikTok channel with about 406,000 followers, Luan's 24 million likes are full of situations, stories, and useful psychological knowledge. Thanks to a long and thorough research process on mental health as well as more than a year of psychological counseling with experts, he has a deep understanding and awareness in this field. "With friends and relatives, I can help them find the right direction when they come to me for advice. With students, I motivate them to be more steadfast. With the community, I hope the content I bring will benefit as many people as possible" - Luan confided.

Following the criteria of aiming for practical and useful values ​​for everyone, although not following popular trends, not having many techniques in filming and editing... Canh Luan's videos still create their own attraction and the channel is growing.

As a teacher, content creator, author and lifelong learner, Luan always has the common goal of sharing knowledge, although the form, method and audience may be different.

Luan is nurturing a special project that is about to be launched, which is a podcast series interviewing guests with expertise and prestige in many different industries to provide insights and perspectives to the public. In addition, Luan and his colleagues continue to invest in and design more effective courses suitable for Vietnamese people.

Recently, Luan has launched a unique publication in the domestic market, which does not have many ILETS books compiled by Vietnamese people. The book "IELTS Speaking Journey - Speak your way to band 6.0" (published by Zenbooks) summarizes many valuable lessons and experiences during 10 years of devoting all his passion and capacity to teaching IELTS by Luan. "The writing of the book comes from my strong desire to impart knowledge and help candidates who want to self-study" - Luan said. The years of studying at many schools with educational experiences in Vietnam and abroad helped Luan have the basis for building his own educational method as well as appropriate orientation when writing books.

The important thing that Luan learned when becoming an author is to balance between what he has and what his readers need. Realizing that most English textbooks on the market today are written for all English learners in the world and therefore are not localized, Luan tried to find and create a new format for this book to be truly suitable and effective for Vietnamese people.
