Implementing the 2023 tasks in a context of more difficulties than advantages, especially with reduced purchasing power and orders, although domestic credit interest rates have decreased, businesses' access to capital is still limited, energy development policies and mechanisms are slow to be issued, and production, business and investment of businesses are facing many difficulties...

But with the determination to complete the assigned tasks, since the beginning of the year, the Department of Industry and Trade has always closely followed the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to promptly deploy key and breakthrough programs and assigned main tasks, advise and support to remove difficulties, promptly resolve recommendations, review administrative procedures and advise on timely supplementation and amendment, thanks to which production and business activities in the past 10 months have continued to grow.

Comrade Vo Dinh Vinh, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said: In the growth picture of the industry, industrial production (CN) continued to maintain positive growth, with the production index in 10 months estimated to increase by 11.01% over the same period last year. Of which, the mining sector accounted for the highest proportion, increasing by 55.32%; second was electricity production and distribution, increasing by 12.56%; followed by processing and manufacturing, increasing by 2.60%. Some key industrial products contributing to the increase compared to the same period last year, including: Sugar production increased by 50.6%; sea salt increased by 35.6%; dried cashew nuts increased by 31.9%; processed salt increased by 23%; electricity production increased by 10.8% (of which solar power increased by 6.7%); clothing of all kinds increased by 9.1%; frozen shrimp increased by 3.7%; aloe vera jelly increased by 2.7%...

To continue developing the potential and advantages of the province's energy sector, the Department of Industry and Trade focuses on directing the acceleration of renewable energy projects after the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued the transitional price framework for solar and wind power plants (according to Decision No. 21/QD-BCT); accordingly, the electricity price agreement for 4 completed projects has been completed, including: Hanbaram Wind Power 93MW; Thien Tan Solar Power 1.2, 1.3/120MW; Trung Nam Thuan Nam Solar Power 172MW. Urging investors to complete legal procedures to start construction of Phuoc Thai 2, 3 Solar Power Project in the third quarter in accordance with regulations. Submitting the bidding documents for Ca Na LNG Project for appraisal. Advising the Provincial People's Committee to issue a plan to implement the Phuoc Hoa Pumped Storage Hydropower Project, with a capacity of 1,200MW. Appraisal of construction design of 110kV double-circuit transmission line connecting to 110kV transformer station of Ninh Phuoc Solar Power Plant 6.2. Acceptance of projects: 110kV feeder for 110kV Ninh Phuoc - Tuy Phong - Phan Ri at 220kV Ninh Phuoc transformer station; power system project serving the production area of ​​land lot 134 Loi Hai - Phuoc Khang; Thien Tan Solar Power Plant 1.4. Participation in giving opinions on the proposal to install wind measuring poles for Dam Nai 3 Wind Power Project, adjusting Adani Phuoc Minh Wind Power Plant Project; adjusting the route of 110kV Ninh Phuoc - Tuy Phong - Phan Ri transmission line. Updating and supplementing the provincial planning including: 7 potential hydropower locations from irrigation lakes; adjusting the capacity of Thuong Song Ong 2 Hydropower Plant from 7MW to 8MW, adding 110kV transformer station of Phuoc Nam Industrial Park and 110kV connecting line. Inspect and monitor land use of solar power projects; inspect the investment and installation status of rooftop solar power systems, organize meetings and recommend electricity meter inspections at the request of electricity customers; inspect the current status of power lines, telecommunication and television cables at the investment project to build a dual carriageway to Phan Rang - Thap Cham City, inspect and evaluate monitoring data of Tan My Hydrological Station after My Son Hydropower Plant comes into operation.

With the determination to strive to bring the industrial sector to complete the growth target for the whole year of 2023, the province sets a target of striving from now until the end of the year to bring the added value of the industrial sector to VND 1,375 billion in the fourth quarter and VND 5,883 billion in the whole year of 2023, an increase of 16.12%, contributing 3.47% growth to GRDP. To achieve the above target, the Department of Industry and Trade continues to closely follow the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to focus on urging investors to complete investment procedures on land, construction, and environment of industrial cluster infrastructure projects to soon start construction of industrial cluster projects: Hieu Thien, Phuoc Tien, Phuoc Minh 1 and Phuoc Minh 2; organize the reception of infrastructure of Quang Son Industrial Cluster. Continue to complete the bidding documents for Ca Na LNG Project; coordinate to organize investment promotion in the southern provinces and cities. Urge and guide the documents of secondary projects investing in Thap Cham Industrial Cluster, Quang Son...; At the same time, proactively grasp, collect information, and mobilize enterprises with products according to the planned targets to overcome difficulties and boost production to achieve business targets according to the set plan.
