On April 12, leaders of Tay Giang district offered flowers and incense at Truong Son Martyrs Cemetery and Road 9 Martyrs Cemetery (Quang Tri province), on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the complete Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
At the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery, in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, Secretary of the Tay Giang District Party Committee Bhling Mia rang the bell nine times and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their blood and bones for the independence and peace of the Fatherland.
Truong Son Cemetery is the largest national martyrs' cemetery in the country, where more than 10,000 martyrs' graves from all over the country are gathered. To commemorate the great contributions of the heroic martyrs, Tay Giang District Party Secretary Bhling Mia and members of the delegation offered flowers and incense, expressing deep gratitude and vowing to engrave in their minds the great sacrifices of generations of fathers and brothers to regain independence, freedom and happiness for the nation. Upholding the revolutionary tradition, generations of cadres, soldiers and people of Tay Giang district continue to unite, strive to overcome difficulties, and strive to build their homeland to develop more and more.
On the same day, the delegation of Tay Giang district also came to offer flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the National Martyrs Cemetery on Road 9, Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province.
The National Road 9 Martyrs' Cemetery is the resting place of more than ten thousand martyrs - those who were main force soldiers, local soldiers, militia and guerrillas, and youth volunteers who fought and served on the Road 9 front and in Laos during the resistance war against the US to save the country.
