On the morning of September 5, according to a source from Dan Viet reporter, Mr. Nguyen Duc Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Quang Ngai, signed a document to send to the authorities of 5 districts, towns, cities and related levels and sectors, requesting urgent coordination to organize the registration of "3 no" fishing vessels in the province (Phase 2).

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development informed that, previously, implementing the direction of the central authority, Quang Ngai organized the first phase of fishing vessel registration.
As of August 20, 2024, Quang Ngai has conducted on-site inspections, provided guidance on registration documents, and marked fishing vessels according to regulations for 517/1,087 vehicles.
Accordingly, 215 fishing vessel registration certificates (CVs) and 126 fishing licenses (GPKTs) were issued and updated in the national fisheries database system (VNFishbase).
Specifically, in Binh Son district, out of a total of 197 ships, 128 ships were physically inspected and 28 certificates/128 ships were issued and 18 technical certificates/28 ships were issued. In Mo Duc district, 34 ships were physically inspected and 34 certificates/34 ships were issued; 14 technical certificates/14 ships were issued.

The number of vehicles in Duc Pho town is 232 ships, 217 ships have been physically inspected and 141 certificates/217 ships have been issued; 79 technical permits/141 ships have been issued. Quang Ngai city has 397 ships, 138 ships have been physically inspected; 32 certificates/108 ships have been issued; 15 technical permits/32 ships have been issued.
Ly Son district alone has 227 vessels, but has not yet conducted actual inspections and has not yet issued certificates or business licenses to any fishing vessels.
To complete the elimination of the "3 no" fishing vessels, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Quang Ngai province requested the People's Committees of Binh Son, Ly Son, Mo Duc districts, Duc Pho town and Quang Ngai city to continue to coordinate in implementing the mobilization and urging of ship owners who have not registered fishing vessels, focusing on conducting actual inspections of the vehicles, to be guided on the fishing vessel registration dossier (phase 2), to be completed before September 30, 2024.

Local authorities need to notify the "3 no" ship owners about the time and arrange a suitable and convenient gathering place to organize the actual inspection of fishing vessels as planned.
