Last night, June 7, Hanoi Medical University announced its 2023 university enrollment plan, including the expected tuition fees for each training program. Accordingly, from the 2023-2024 school year, all majors of the school will have skyrocketing tuition fees compared to previous years. The highest majors (medicine, studying in Hanoi; traditional medicine) have expected tuition fees of up to 55.2 million VND/year. The lowest major (nursing, studying at Thanh Hoa branch) has an expected tuition fee of 20.9 million VND/year.
Medical students at Thanh Hoa branch will only have to pay half the tuition fee of students studying in Hanoi.
It is worth noting that although it is the same medical field, if you study at the Thanh Hoa branch, the tuition fee is only half of that in Hanoi, because this branch is a group 3 autonomous unit, only ensuring a part of regular expenses, so it is collected according to the framework prescribed in Decree 81/2021/ND-CP for training units with this level of autonomy.
Specifically:
This year, Hanoi Medical University plans to recruit 1,370 students for 16 majors. Of which, medical majors trained in Hanoi plan to recruit 400 students; medical majors trained at Thanh Hoa branch plan to recruit 120 students. All majors will consider the B00 combination (math, chemistry, biology).
The school will enroll students according to two independent admission methods. Candidates can register for both methods when applying. Candidates who have passed the exam will not be eligible for admission by other admission methods. Admission method 1 is based on the results of the 2023 high school graduation exam for all majors. Admission method 2 is combined admission with international language certificates in English or French for the following majors: medicine, Thanh Hoa branch of medicine, dentistry, nursing.
With method 2, candidates must still have enough scores for the 3 subjects in group B00, with the total admission score of these 3 subjects not being lower than the quality assurance threshold set by the school. The benchmark score for this method will not be more than 3 points lower than the benchmark score for the corresponding industry in method 1.
