TPO - Russia has developed a new anti-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) system, capable of detecting and intercepting UAVs in many different ways.
Russia has created a comprehensive system to protect targets from drones, RIA Novosti news agency quoted Vladislav Kustarev, development director of Stupor LLC, as saying on February 26. The system, called Stupor, is also capable of detecting and intercepting drones in several ways at the same time.
According to Vladislav Kustarev, Stupor developers use their own software, combining devices operating on different principles into one system, which helps to achieve higher reliability and reduce the number of false alarms.
The Stupor development director added that AI technology allows the system to operate without an operator. The collected data and information can be downloaded directly to the phone. In addition, the Stupor system can also integrate detection and countermeasures from other manufacturers.
In the context of Russia's infrastructure and military being frequently attacked by Ukrainian drones, the Stupor anti-drone system is considered an effective solution, capable of replacing traditional air defense means.
According to data provided by the developer, the Stupor system is said to be able to detect targets at a distance of more than 5 km and intercept them within a radius of 2 km.
