Mr. Phan Ngoc Linh, Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Nam Po district, shared: The district has actively carried out an inventory of cultural heritage for ethnic groups. Proceeded to compile a dossier to propose the award of the title "People's Artisan", "Excellent Artisan" and requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to compile a scientific dossier for cultural heritages when meeting the prescribed conditions. At the same time, promote the collection and preservation of traditional cultural features through organizing and restoring festivals, folk songs and dances. Notable examples include: the Forest God Worshiping Ceremony of the Khang ethnic group, the Cap Sac Ceremony of the Dao ethnic group, the Gau Tao Festival of the Mong ethnic group, the Hair Washing Festival of the Thai ethnic group... Preserving and promoting the value of intangible cultural heritages that have been included in the list of national intangible cultural heritages: "Tet Hoa" Festival of the Cong ethnic group; Folk performing arts of the Kho Mu people; Embroidered shoe making of the Hoa people (Xa phang).

Nam Po district also organizes competitions, art performances, cultural and sports festivals of ethnic groups, traditional festivals, such as: Phin Ho Spring Festival; Mong and Thai ethnic cultural festival on September 2nd at district level. Maintain the inclusion of some types of intangible cultural heritage in the official and extracurricular education programs and collective activities such as: Folk performing arts (dance, singing, folk games), traditional crafts (weaving techniques, embroidery, the art of creating patterns on costumes...).

In order to meet the needs of cultural, artistic and sports activities of all classes of people, the district has focused on investing in building a system of grassroots cultural and sports institutions. At the time of the district's establishment (2013), Nam Po only had 20/127 villages with cultural houses; up to now, the district has 42/121 villages with cultural houses; 1 badminton training and competition house, with 4 standard courts according to regulations; 2 outdoor volleyball courts... In particular, Nam Po district has been promoting the role of artisans and mass art teams (the whole district currently has 58 mass art teams with 832 members) in preserving and maintaining the good cultural values ​​of ethnic groups. Mr. Sung Chu Dinh, May Hoc village, Phin Ho commune shared: "Panpipe dancing is an indispensable part of the spiritual and cultural life of the Mong people. However, currently, the number of people who know, understand and perform this panpipe is very small. To preserve the cultural values ​​of the nation, I am trying to collect and teach my children this art form to preserve and develop, so that it does not fade away over time.

With the goal of 100% of ethnic groups in the district preserving and promoting the values ​​of intangible cultural heritage; 100% of villages building conventions and village covenants associated with preserving and promoting the fine traditional customs of ethnic groups... In the coming time, Nam Po district will continue to promote propaganda and raise people's awareness of the importance of traditional cultural values; the role and significance of preserving and promoting the unique cultural beauty of each ethnic group; pay attention to training human resources to effectively promote grassroots cultural institutions; focus on training human resources of ethnic minorities working in grassroots cultural institutions. Focus on opening training classes in folk performing arts such as: Khen dancing, flute playing; playing the Tinh Tau, Nhi, blowing the Pi Pap of the Thai ethnic group, basic dances of ethnic groups. Promoting the core role of artisans in collecting and teaching traditional cultural values ​​of the nation... Thereby, contributing to imparting the beauty of traditional culture, political and ideological education for the younger generation to better understand and love the traditional culture of the nation.
