Kinhtedothi - With the synchronous and drastic participation of all levels and sectors, the consensus and support of cadres, party members and people, Nam Dinh province will strive to successfully implement the socio-economic development goals and tasks set out in 2025.
Recently, the Standing Committee of Nam Dinh Provincial Party Committee held a conference to give opinions on the draft report on the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in 2024, the expected socio-economic development plan for 2025; important reports and projects to be submitted at the regular meeting at the end of 2024 of the 19th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026; and to implement a number of other important contents.
In 2024, the province's socio-economic situation continues to be stable, achieving many positive and quite comprehensive results in all fields with 14/14 targets reaching and exceeding the set plan.
The entire political system of the province has focused on preventing and fighting against storm No. 3 and the heavy rains that caused widespread flooding, minimizing the consequences, significantly reducing damage to facilities and causing no human casualties.
Nam Dinh is one of the first three provinces in the country to have the National Assembly Standing Committee approve the Resolution on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units in the 2023-2025 period and is the first province to complete the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units in large numbers. The units after the arrangement have been operating stably since September 1.
The work of building advanced and exemplary new rural areas (NTM) continues to receive attention and achieve positive results. Up to now, the whole province has 97.5% of communes and towns meeting advanced NTM standards (exceeding the set plan) and 28.1% of communes meeting exemplary NTM standards.
Gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated to increase by 10.35%. Total export turnover of goods is estimated to increase by 30.8%. State budget revenue in the area is estimated to increase by 34% compared to 2023. Total social investment capital is estimated to increase by 18.0%. Industrial production index increased by 14.5%. Total retail sales of goods and services are estimated to increase by 13.8%. Outstanding credit is estimated to increase by 15.6% compared to the beginning of the year. Total mobilized capital of credit institutions in the area is estimated to increase by 11.2%.
Infrastructure systems, especially transportation and industrial parks and clusters, continued to receive strong investment. Investment promotion and attraction activities achieved positive results with 73 projects granted certificates, with a total registered capital of nearly VND9,303 billion and USD252.9 million.
The site clearance work has been strengthened in leadership and direction to create consensus and ensure the progress of key projects, especially the site clearance work to implement projects of Xuan Thien Group in Con Xanh area, Nghia Hung district.
In 2025, Nam Dinh province will continue to focus on drastically and effectively implementing tasks and solutions for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in accordance with the direction of the Central Government, the National Assembly, the Government, the Prime Minister, the Provincial Party Committee, and resolutions of the Provincial People's Council; strive to complete and exceed the 5-year socio-economic targets for 2021-2025 according to the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council.
Concluding the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Dang Khanh Toan highly appreciated the careful and elaborate preparation work and basically agreed with the contents of the draft resolutions, reports, projects, and submissions of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies presented at the conference.
The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that 2025 is a year of special importance, the final year of implementing the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2021-2025, the year of organizing Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party; thereby, Party committees and authorities at all levels need to make great efforts and determination to strive to successfully and comprehensively implement the goals and tasks of 2025; complete and exceed the 5-year socio-economic targets 2021-2025 according to the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, creating favorable conditions for Nam Dinh province to enter a new development stage.
Continue to direct the construction and development of Nam Dinh city in the spirit of Resolution No. 07-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee; in which, focus on mobilizing all resources to speed up the construction progress, complete a number of projects and works with key features in infrastructure and landscape architecture of the city. Continue to effectively direct the implementation of Resolution No. 04-NQ/TU and Resolution No. 09-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee on "Promoting administrative reform, improving competitiveness, promoting and attracting investment in the period of 2021-2025", and "Digital transformation of Nam Dinh province to 2025, with a vision to 2030".
Strengthening the management of budget revenue and expenditure, operating the budget closely, effectively, publicly and transparently; striving to achieve budget revenue in the area in 2025 of over 15,500 billion VND.
Focus on developing cultural and social fields; ensure social security, improve the material and spiritual life of the people. Organize cultural, sports activities, and art programs to serve political tasks and the information and entertainment needs of the people, especially during the Lunar New Year 2025.
