On January 6, 2025, the Vietnam Chemical Corporation (Vinachem) held a conference to summarize its work in 2024 and plan for 2025.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh, Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, highly appreciated Vinachem's achievements, noting that for three consecutive years, from 2022 to 2024, its revenue reached the highest level in its history. This achievement is a testament to the efforts of all cadres, workers, and employees in the context of many difficulties and challenges.
Outstanding business performance results in 2024
In 2024, Vinachem's industrial production value at current prices reached VND 54,680 billion, a 3% increase compared to the plan and a 10% increase compared to 2023. The group's total revenue reached VND 57,909 billion, exceeding the plan by 3%. The parent company's profit reached VND 600 billion, achieving 125% of the plan.
Vinachem also contributed 2,116 billion VND to the state budget, exceeding the plan by 24%. The total value of exports and imports reached 735 million USD, an increase of 11% compared to the same period last year.
In the investment sector, the value of implemented projects reached 93% of the plan, with many projects completed ahead of schedule. For example, the expansion project of the Radial Tire Manufacturing Plant of Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company was completed 6 months ahead of schedule; and the disinfectant production line project of Viet Tri Chemical Joint Stock Company was completed 2 months ahead of schedule.
Developing strategies and expanding international cooperation.
Vinachem has successfully accomplished many important tasks, such as having its 5-year production and business plan (2021-2025) approved by the Prime Minister, and issuing the plan for exploration, exploitation, and processing of apatite minerals until 2050. At the same time, Vinachem has actively promoted international cooperation, signing numerous memoranda of understanding with major corporations worldwide to expand its market share and enhance its brand.
Meaningful social activities
Vinachem has not only achieved success in production and business but also focuses on social responsibility. In 2024, Vinachem donated over 10 billion VND and nearly 20 tons of water treatment chemicals to localities affected by Typhoon No. 3.
In addition, Vinachem donated 15 houses of compassion in Chu Se district, Gia Lai province, contributing to improving the lives of disadvantaged families. Activities supporting workers, building "Trade Union Shelters," and sponsoring the ceremony honoring outstanding ethnic minority students continue to be maintained.
Development orientation for 2025
Vinachem's Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Phung Quang Hiep, emphasized that the goal for 2025 is to develop sustainable production linked to green transformation, digital transformation, and environmental protection. Vinachem will focus on scientific and technological research, and the production of high-quality and environmentally friendly fertilizers.
Vinachem also aims to increase exports of key products such as fertilizers, tires, and detergents, affirming its position in the chemical industry and expanding its international market.
Launching a production emulation campaign for 2025
At the conference, Vinachem launched a production and business emulation campaign for 2025, aiming to achieve an industrial production value of VND 54,941 billion, combined revenue of VND 57,938 billion, and a profit of VND 2,729 billion.
With a spirit of unity and strong determination, Vinachem expects to maintain its growth momentum, affirm its leading position in the chemical industry, and make a practical contribution to the country's economic development.
