The US said Israel's attack on Iran was "justified". Israel said it did not attack Iran's nuclear facilities or oil fields but focused only on military targets.

Immediately after Israel attacked Iran, on the evening of October 25, the White House spoke out about Israel's airstrikes on military targets in Iran, affirming that this was a "legitimate act of self-defense" after Iran launched a ballistic missile earlier this month.
National Security Council spokesman Sean Savett stressed: "The selective attacks on this military target were a self-defense measure in response to Iran's ballistic missile launch against Israel on October 1."
As Israel began its attack on Iran, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office released a photo showing the Prime Minister talking with Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and top generals of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in an underground bunker below the Kirya military base in Tel Aviv.
An Israeli official told NBC News that Israel did not attack Iran's nuclear facilities or oil fields, but focused only on military targets.
“We target targets that have threatened us in the past or could pose a threat in the future,” the official said.
From the Iranian side, Iran's state TV said operations at Tehran's airports including Imam Khomeini International Airport were "normal", after reporting several explosions around the capital.
The TV presenter quoted the directors of Mehrabad and Imam Khomeini airports as saying: “Operations at Imam Khomeini International Airport and Mehrabad Airport are normal and they continue to operate as scheduled.”
