Musician Trinh Cong Son passed away more than 23 years ago, but his songs still live forever in the hearts of music lovers. Every year on the anniversary of his death, the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater will organize Trinh music nights to thank and show gratitude to the audience who daily "take refuge" or "play" in the music of this talented musician.
At 8pm on April 1st at the Hanoi Opera House, the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater will also present to the public a Trinh music night with the theme "Like a flying stork" in memory of the 23rd anniversary of the death of musician Trinh Cong Son. The music night is directed by People's Artist Tran Binh with the participation of 3 beautiful women who sing Trinh music: My Linh - Nguyen Ha - Luu Huong Giang alongside the elegant gentleman Ho Trung Dung and the unique voice of Ha Le... Especially, there is also the participation of the 90s music star - singer Ngoc Anh.
"Trinh Cong Son is a rare Vietnamese musician whose fame and influence have reached the world. Trinh's music has penetrated every corner and class of Vietnamese people and most Vietnamese singers have sung Trinh's music. This is the only type of music that can harmonize from the scholarly to the popular, allowing singers of all generations and genres to sing it. And this time, the program chose the Hanoi Opera House as the "space to commemorate musician Trinh Cong Son". With its inherent luxury, the Opera House will be a place where Trinh Cong Son's music resonates, soaring and elegant like the way the musician lived, wrote music and sang. Coming to the program, the audience will be immersed in many famous songs of the late musician", said director, People's Artist Tran Binh.

Ha Le renews Trinh Cong Son's music not to replace anyone else.
It can be seen that the philosophical quality in his music makes many people worry whether young people will love and appreciate it if there are no artists who "put on a new coat" for Trinh's music.
In response to the above doubts, singer Ha Le - who is known as the rapper wearing a "new shirt" shared that he came to Trinh's music as fate, or more accurately, from a calling. Because when he was trying to find songs that were suitable for his age, experience and understanding of life so that he could perform, Trinh's music came to him as a fate.
"I have tried remaking the music of many musicians, but only when I came to Trinh's music did I find deep sympathy. The more I listened and experimented, the more I realized the harmony in my soul with musician Trinh Cong Son. I gradually realized that Trinh's music had changed me a lot. I am grateful to Trinh's music for opening up an artistic path for me. I will always take it as a compass for my own development.

And so, over the years, I have been trying to renew Trinh's music through the Trinh Contemporary project. The Trinh Contemporary project does not simply help Trinh's music become more fresh, but I want to spread contemporary inspiration in Trinh Cong Son's musical creation in many aspects from choreography, music to image and costumes. I renew Trinh's music not to replace anyone or any product that has ever been released. I just open up another choice for the public, especially young people, to listen to Trinh's music," Ha Le shared.
At the same time, singer Ha Le also affirmed that although musician Trinh Cong Son passed away 23 years ago, Vietnamese music lovers have never stopped missing him. The love for his life and music still follows the melodies and lyrics that penetrate the hearts of the public, becoming an indispensable part of life.
"I am very happy to be invited to perform in the special art program "Like a flying stork" organized by the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater on the 23rd anniversary of the death of the talented musician Trinh Cong Son. Each song in the program will have its own unique color, and I will also aim for a contemporary, free, and liberal spirit, creating a vibrant, hearty, bustling but equally lyrical musical space so that Trinh's music can reach young audiences," said Ha Le.
Singer Ngoc Anh has listened to Trinh Cong Son's music since she was 8 years old.
Singer Ngoc Anh said: "When I was 8 years old, I really liked the compositions of musician Trinh Cong Son and kept singing, even though at that time I did not fully understand the content of the songs that the talented artist Trinh Cong Son wanted to convey. Because as musician Pham Duy said, all of Trinh Cong Son's music is as beautiful as an abstract painting rather than a realistic one. Both the music and the lyrics, both the body and soul of the poem, sound vague and ambiguous, difficult to define correctly."
Singer Ngoc Anh recalls that in the past when she sang at tea rooms, she often sang many songs by musician Trinh Cong Son and at that time, this musician himself sat and listened to her sing many times. "I remember clearly the times when he sat and listened to me sing, Mr. Son liked the song "Dau Chan Dia Dang" (originally called "Tieng Hat Da Lan") the most. Mr. Son often called me intimately: "Ngoc Anh! Sing for me "Tieng Hat Da Lan". At that time, I was very happy and joyful", singer Ngoc Anh recalled.
And just like that, singer Ngoc Anh sang Trinh Cong Son's songs on many stages and on her Youtube channel. This time, coming to Hanoi to sing Trinh's music in the luxurious space of the Opera House was an extremely great happiness for singer Ngoc Anh.
"I am very happy and proud to be invited to participate in the program "Like a flying stork". I will sing with all my passion, heart and most sincere emotions to commemorate the musician I always love and respect - Musician Trinh Cong Son. With the music of musician Trinh Cong Son, when you are happy you can sing, when you are sad you can also find his music. Joy is joyful, sadness is still pure and gentle for the wind to take away...", singer Ngoc Anh confided.
