Dr. Cu Van Trung, Director of the Institute for Policy Research and Social Issues, emphasized that young people should enter life with a spirit of dedication, purity, freedom to study consciously, and a desire to develop. They themselves must be “thinkers” for themselves, storing in their minds a treasure trove of backup solutions for life to face the uncertainties, uncertainties, advantages or difficulties of life...
Young people need to be open-minded and unprejudiced.
The important issue that education needs to focus on is to create people who are always in a state of mind to adapt to all changes in life. According to you, what do young people need to have in their luggage today?
In my opinion, to be successful, young people need to be open-minded, open-minded and without prejudice, not bound to anything in the process of acquiring knowledge. As we know, knowledge in today's era is updated regularly, so young people must also have the mindset that it is not necessary to rely on anything they have heard, learned and seen. You should just be "open" - learn openly, think broadly, and enrich your own knowledge.
Young people have the right to love and admire talented and excellent individuals, speakers and businessmen, but they absolutely should not model or immerse themselves in those images. We should learn critically, evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the subjects to absorb them very selectively and find the outstanding factors, enriching our spiritual life and education.
Some scholars believe that the lighter the luggage when entering life, the better. In reality, many young people today still do not have the habit of free thinking, freedom of creativity, observation, and criticism. Many young people go to school according to their parents' preferences, to make their relatives and friends look good. They have prejudices, that this is how a good child and a good student must be. With so many obligations, dreams, and expectations, how can they easily receive new things and the knowledge necessary for life and the future?
In short, the lighter the luggage of young people when entering life and studying, the less constraints or dependence on prejudices, the more they can develop their abilities and promote them to succeed. Saying so does not mean there will be a lack of connection with the past, with parents, teachers, but rather it emphasizes the personal factor, arousing the will of self-reliance and self-reliance of each young person in today's era.
Besides knowledge, what do you think is most important for a young person in the age of artificial intelligence AI?
Knowledge is not enough for young people to succeed, especially in a social environment like ours. Nowadays, the skills of connection, alliance, community work, sharing, cooperative attitude, speaking skills, eloquence... and many other things are needed to be a complete person. That is, in addition to the power of knowledge and technology, the ability to apply practical knowledge of each individual must be very sensitive and very up-to-date.
Young people must know how to connect, gather, require great flexibility, diversity, work on social platforms, in regions, areas and across countries. In addition, you should study new technology platforms well, improve your foreign language skills and increase reading to gain more knowledge to serve your current job.
People still say that the characteristics of today's era are unpredictable, uncertain, and full of unprecedented changes. To live and work in this very interesting socio-economic form, people need freedom of thought, independence in action, and self-respect in life.
When young people think freely, there will be countless solutions for each situation and their actions. And when choosing the optimal solution to best solve challenging future situations, they are the ones with self-respect, taking responsibility for themselves and their lives.
We often emphasize critical thinking and creative skills to create identity, difference and competition between humans and machines. At the same time, it is necessary to have the ability to predict, analyze right and wrong, and argue, which is the ability to debate and creative intelligence - which is extremely necessary for young people in the digital age. Without the material of freedom to take flight, they will not have that ability, the source of creativity is the inner freedom of each person.
Therefore, young people should enter life with a spirit of dedication, purity, freedom to learn consciously, and a desire to develop. They themselves must be “thinkers” for themselves, storing in their minds a treasure trove of backup solutions for life to face the uncertainties, uncertainties, advantages or difficulties of life.

Always in control
A very important skill in life as well as career development that is rarely mentioned is “mastery mindset”. So, in your opinion, how should we understand mastery correctly?
I agree with this point of view, it all comes from the mindset. We must focus, put all our energy and passion into what we pursue. There is a story about a scientist who invented a new product, people asked him why he could make it so skillfully. The scientist said that he always thought about it, when walking, eating or any free time.
Before, I also did not fully realize the importance of mindset and consciousness, but later I understood that if you want to have identity and mastery, it must originate from the Mind. A steady mind and will will help you realize your intentions.
Young people should be steadfast, persistent, believe in themselves, in the rightness in their hearts and when their mind is stable, it will help them walk more confidently in life. That is determination, self-determination, self-responsibility.
Many situations have shown us that reason is necessary for everything, but many times the strength of the soul and heart is the most correct guide. On the basis of oneself, because of one's perseverance, young people will discover many surprising things in life. I think that is a good argument and should be popularized to young people today.
Some experts say that salary should not be used as a measure of success. In your opinion, should young people focus on becoming successful or living a life of value?
Nowadays, young people are more talented, more committed, more dynamic, and have more breakthrough creativity than the previous generation. When we give value, give something useful, even if it is small, we receive in return. But if we only think about work and salary, even if we work successfully and meet KPI targets, it will not help us feel happiness and goodness.
Success is a broad concept and also a long journey, high salary and achievement, having many assets does not necessarily make a young person feel happy and valuable. The value is to create inspiration and inspire as well as spread your influence to the collective, community and further society.
It is also the destination of many people with aspirations and ideals. Young people need to live a life with many experiences, with both hardship and difficulty to be sustainable, to have experience to enjoy the delicious fruits, to be humble and respect people.
Young people should not use salary as a measure or standard of current criteria. Things achieved based on advantages are not necessarily success because there are things that are more important and valuable than money. I think that a valuable person cannot be unemployed and poor in spiritual life.
In fact, the concept of value and success in terms of this question, we should limit it to the environment and circumstances of young people. Some people think that this is success, some people think that is success. And the same goes for value, some people say that one must be famous, must be a scholar, scientist, politician, successful businessman... to be a valuable person. But for young people, value can also be understood, it requires the ability to cooperate, compete fairly, know how to help others, be sociable, cheerful and friendly. In my opinion, for young people, we should position them in such values.
So what goals should young people focus on, according to you?
Why should salary not be the sole measure of success? Success is not simply a high salary. It also includes many other factors such as job satisfaction, personal development, social relationships, health and contributions to the community. Success is also reflected in personal values. Each person has a different definition of success. Some people value wealth, some value freedom, some value social responsibility, creating values for society.
However, the concept of success also changes over time and culture. What is considered successful today may not be considered successful tomorrow. Is it becoming a successful person or living a life of value? The answer is not one or the other, but both. It is necessary to identify your core values, what you really want in life. What are you passionate about and what do you want to contribute to society?
In particular, you should invest in self-development, constantly learn and improve your skills. This will help you become more confident and have more opportunities in life. Everyone has their own path, focus on your own development, success does not come overnight, so identify your core values and persistently pursue your goals.
Thank you!
