Mr. Tran Viet Anh said: "Currently, the trend of universities in the world is to implement the startup university model. One of the famous schools with this model is MIT in the US. The rate of businesses started by students of this school that are still operating after 5 years is over 70%, while startups in Vietnam have stopped after only 2 years, meaning that only 5% continue to operate."

From this reality and trend, Mr. Viet Anh informed that Hung Vuong University, Ho Chi Minh City, is oriented to become a startup university, training students in entrepreneurial spirit and skills to contribute to the startup ecosystem of Vietnam.

With the new logo being a stylized combination of King Hung's crown and the abbreviated school name DHV, the school's leaders believe that this image will help students understand, honor and preserve the traditional values of the nation, while also being able to move towards modern values.

"Along with the announcement of the new logo, we also build a new vision, mission, educational philosophy and core values. Accordingly, in addition to becoming an application-oriented university following the startup university model, the school will build an academic community that maximizes cooperation between students, lecturers, businesses and society. At the same time, we aim to have our majors accredited by prestigious educational quality assessment and accreditation organizations in the world...", Dr. Viet Anh shared.

Also at the ceremony, businesses donated more than 2 billion VND to the school's scholarship fund. The new students who were valedictorians and salutatorians were also awarded scholarships worth 24 million VND for the valedictorian (100% of the first year's tuition) and nearly 17 million VND for the salutatorian (70% of the first year's tuition).
