By June 2025, Quang Binh will complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses.
Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee said that the locality has 1,553 poor and near-poor households approved for support to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the 2024-2025 period (including 826 newly built houses and 727 renovated and repaired houses).
Currently, 1,160 houses have been started (635 new houses, 525 renovated and repaired houses), reaching a construction commencement rate of 74.7%, of which 315 houses have been completed. It is expected that by June 2025, Quang Binh province will complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households in the area in the period of 2024-2025.
Up to this point, Quang Binh province has allocated a budget of 71.37 billion VND, localities have organized to call for socialized resources of 2.97 billion VND and mobilized more than 4,595 working days, 65 tons of cement; households have contributed more than 13.34 billion VND and 1,253 working days to carry out the project together. Thereby contributing to the completion of houses for households to be more spacious, safe, and stable to "settle down and make a living".
Quang Binh Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang affirmed that the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses has profound humanistic significance, demonstrating the spirit of "mutual love and support", so despite the difficulties and hardships, the program must be completed with effort and determination, with the goal of "leaving no one behind".
The Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee requested departments, agencies, units, and localities to promote the spirit of self-reliance, self-reliance, and self-control, and not to wait or depend on households in implementing the program; determined to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households according to the set goals.
Mobilize more working days from organizations and society to soon finish the program
In Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city, there are 241 temporary and dilapidated houses that need to be repaired and rebuilt. To date, the locality has approved 184 houses that are eligible to receive support under the program.
To effectively implement the program, Hoa Tien commune (Hoa Vang district) launched the model "Volunteer shock team to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses". The model attracted the participation and response of the commune's sectors, unions and people in the commune with the spirit of "Whoever has money contributes money, whoever has merit contributes", striving to speed up the program's progress in the spirit of the 120-day and night campaign to eliminate all temporary and dilapidated houses so that "no one is left behind".
According to statistics, Da Nang City has 2,043 temporary and dilapidated houses in need of support. To date, the city has completed the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses for 1,098 households (53.7%).
Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi requested that authorities at all levels focus resources to complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses before September 2.
Quang Ngai strives to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses before September 30.
Quang Ngai province has more than 6,600 households in need of housing support, of which 4,344 houses need to be newly built and 2,260 houses need to be repaired. Currently, more than 1,300 houses (nearly 20%) have been newly built and repaired. Some localities have achieved good results such as: Ba To district (100%), Son Tay district (51.49%), Nghia Hanh district (42%)...
Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van, Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, requested units and localities to focus on speeding up the progress of completing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses before September 30. To complete the goal, localities must have specific plans, roadmaps, and solutions, suitable to the actual situation in each locality; especially mobilizing all resources for implementation.
"The provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee prioritizes the allocation of funds according to regulations to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for mountainous localities and localities that are about to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses; the Policy Bank prioritizes the disbursement of loans to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses so that localities can soon complete this program," the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Secretary requested.
