Through this agreement, De Heus and Seaprodex commit to accompany Vietnamese aquaculture farmers to improve product quality and expand export potential to international markets, especially Europe.

As a leader in nutrition and livestock solutions, De Heus will provide optimal nutritional solutions, support modern farming techniques, control diseases, and coordinate an efficient supply chain for shrimp and pangasius towards sustainable development, reducing emissions and protecting the environment with advanced technology.

In particular, De Heus will also create a bridge and seek export partners, targeting the potential European market. From there, it promises to open up new opportunities for Vietnamese seafood in the international market.

Seaprodex will continue to be strong in developing sustainable farming areas, purchasing and processing seafood products that meet export standards, thereby creating a solid foundation for the shrimp and pangasius value chain.

Strategic cooperation for sustainable development of the fisheries industry

With the strategy of "Elevating Vietnamese livestock" and the orientation of sustainable development, De Heus constantly improves product quality, completes the value chain and affirms the position of Vietnamese products in the international market, especially Europe.

In the field of animal feed development in the Vietnamese market, with a leading position in the independent animal feed market, De Heus Vietnam wants to aim for sustainable development through close cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment. Specifically, it has signed a memorandum of cooperation on research and development of animal feed raw material production areas based on the planning of developing raw material areas serving the animal feed industry according to the new cooperative model. The goal is to help Vietnam be more proactive in raw material sources, creating opportunities for agricultural development for farmers.

In 2023, De Heus inaugurated an aquatic feed factory with an investment of nearly 500 billion VND, with a total design capacity of 240,000 tons/year.

In the countries where De Heus is present, most notably the Vietnamese market (De Heus Vietnam's output accounts for about 25% of De Heus's total global output), investment and business planning are built on the pillars of the Group's strategy and common vision for sustainable development. Through this, the Group will focus on building a value chain in agricultural production, improving productivity for farmers in each region and locality; bringing clean, safe food, free of antibiotic residues, and traceable to consumers.

Previously, De Heus Can Tho Aquaculture Feed Factory, specializing in supplying high-quality feed products for pangasius and basa fish with a total designed capacity of 240,000 tons/year, has contributed to supporting fish farmers to access top-quality genetic solutions, technical management solutions and financial resources, as well as connecting with the consumer market, thereby helping fish farmers in Vietnam develop towards sustainable success.

The cooperation between De Heus and Seaprodex continues to affirm the Group's desire to become a reliable partner of people and businesses in the fields of aquaculture, livestock and agriculture in Vietnam.
