At exactly 8:00 a.m. today, February 5, import and export activities of goods through the temporary pontoon bridge opening at Km3+4 Hai Yen (Mong Cai) officially resumed customs clearance after the Lunar New Year holiday of At Ty 2025. As of 9:00 a.m. on February 5, at this opening, Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch has completed export procedures for 47 declarations of enterprises and border residents with 96 trucks, the total weight of exported goods is 2,374 tons, the total turnover is 2,302,097 USD. The main export items are: Fresh fruits; frozen fish, shrimp; live lobster, live clams, tapioca starch.

Previously, on the morning of January 31 (the 3rd day of Tet), at Bac Luan II Bridge Customs Clearance, import-export activities were cleared again in the form of pre-arranged clearance after 2 days of Tet holiday. Here, Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch completed procedures for 22 enterprises with 113 customs declarations, 112 trucks exporting fresh seafood and agricultural products to China. The total volume of exported goods on January 31 reached 752 tons, including 368 tons of seafood, 384 tons of agricultural products, with a total value of goods reaching over 9.3 million USD.

Thus, as of the morning of February 5, import and export activities of goods through border gates and openings in Mong Cai city have returned to normal.

According to statistics from Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch, from January 25 to February 2, 2025 (from December 26 to the 5th day of Tet), at Bac Luan II Bridge Clearance, there were 1,308 vehicles entering and exiting the country, an increase of 163% compared to the same period of the Lunar New Year 2024. At the opening area of ​​Km3+4, there were 368 vehicles entering and exiting the country.

The Department has opened 582 declarations for 35 enterprises carrying out import-export procedures to register declarations through the VNACCS system with a turnover of 35.2 million USD, an increase of 268% in declarations and 47% in turnover compared to the same period of the Lunar New Year 2024, with the main items being seafood, exported fruits and imported seafood for business.

Total import-export turnover in January 2025 reached 234.7 million USD, up 53% over the same period, of which exports reached 133.18 million USD and imports reached 101.56 million USD. The Department attracted 12 new import-export enterprises to carry out import-export procedures, bringing the total number of enterprises carrying out import-export procedures in January 2025 to 352 enterprises, an increase of 46 enterprises over the same period.
