MobiFone officially commercializes 5G service with many attractive packages

On March 26, MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation officially announced the provision of 5G services. In the first phase, 5G services will be concentrated in the centers of major provinces and cities.

In the coming time, MobiFone will continue to strive to expand coverage, aiming to cover 5G to every commune in 63/63 provinces and cities nationwide.

MobiFone deploys 5G network on 3,800-3,900 MHz frequency band, ensuring optimal data transmission speed, supporting many high-tech services, especially applications requiring low latency and stable connection.

MobiFone's 5G network speed can reach 1.5 Gbps, 10-15 times faster than 4G and has very low latency. MobiFone's 5G network is deployed simultaneously on both 5G NSA (non stand alone) and 5G SA (stand alone) architecture platforms.

According to 5G mobile broadband network measurement statistics for February 2025 updated from the i-Speed Internet platform of the Vietnam Internet Center (Ministry of Science and Technology), MobiFone's 5G mobile broadband download speed reached 284.89 Mbps and upload speed reached 53.37 Mbps.

For business customers, MobiFone announced over 100 products, covering 8 key areas of national digital transformation priority, including: Industrial production, smart cities, energy, agriculture, healthcare, education, transportation and smart tourism.

MobiFone also provides solutions to serve individual businesses in the flow towards a digital society. These solutions are integrated with AI, IoT, Cloud and Big Data technology on the 5G platform.

In fact, in recent times, MobiFone has deployed solutions and services on the 5G technology platform at a number of agencies, units and businesses across the country.

For individual customers with a 4G SIM and a 5G phone, they can immediately use the service in the 5G coverage area without having to change SIM.

Since the beginning of 2025, many notable goals in developing telecommunications infrastructure in Vietnam have been announced. Along with the determination to expand 5G coverage from telecommunications enterprises, a series of support policies and commitments from the Government are expected to create strong steps forward in developing digital infrastructure, especially 5G coverage.

According to Ericsson research, by 2029, 5G networks will account for about 50% of total mobile subscribers in Vietnam. Currently, more than 25% of national data traffic has been transmitted via 5G, making this technology an important driving force for the digital economy./.

At the time of officially providing 5G service, MobiFone announced the following packages:

- 5GV package: 8GB/day, free domestic calls under 20 minutes, 250 minutes of inter-network calls, free data to access Youtube, Facebook, Tiktok, Vieon viewing account - 200,000 VND/30 days.

- 5GC package: 8GB/day, free domestic calls under 20 minutes, 250 minutes of inter-network calls, free Youtube, Facebook, Tiktok, account to watch ClipTV family package content - 200,000 VND/30 days.

- 5GLQ package: 6GB/day, free domestic calls under 20 minutes, 250 minutes of inter-network calls, free Youtube, Facebook, Tiktok, play Lien Quan Mobile game, promotion for playing games on GamiGo - 200,000 VND/30 days.

- Package TK159: 6GB/day, free calls within the network under 10 minutes, 100 minutes to other networks, free Youtube, Facebook – 159,000 VND/30 days.
