Clouds cover the top of Ba Den mountain on the morning of June 21, with the phenomenon of "jade clouds" right at the statue of Buddha.
Since 6am, the top of Ba Den Mountain (Tay Ninh) has been covered with flying saucers of clouds - a rare lenticular cloud phenomenon in the world, but quite familiar at Ba Mountain. What surprised people was the transparent luminous spot appearing on the upper layer of the cloud cap, looking from afar like a magical glowing gem.
Ms. Vu Thu Ha (HCMC) said: “This morning, I went to Tay Ninh very early to attend the Linh Son Thanh Mau Festival, hoping to witness the magical cloud hat. But I was so surprised when I not only got to see the cloud hat, but also admired the magical light spot shining like a gem above the lenticular cloud with two magical colors of jade green and orange-yellow.”

In the photo taken from above, it can be clearly seen that Ba Den Mountain is covered in a cap of floating clouds, with “jade clouds” radiating light from the tallest Buddha statue of Tay Bo Da Son on the top of the mountain. “This is truly an extremely magical moment, as if I were seeing the Buddha emitting light, both beautiful and sacred,” said Hai Trieu (Tay Ninh), the author of the photo.
Not only making locals and tourists excited by the phenomenon of "jade clouds", Ba Den Mountain also continuously appeared many rare cloud phenomena during the occasion of the Linh Son Thanh Mau Festival this year. In particular, on the morning of June 20, many cloud rays suddenly emitted magical light on the top of Ba Den Mountain, making many people think of the extremely rare nacreous cloud phenomenon in the world. An employee at Sun World Ba Den Mountain Tourist Area said: "On the afternoon of June 20, for the first time, I witnessed extremely magical cloud rays on the top of the mountain. These rays of light are not only transparent but also emit sparkling light. Standing at different angles, you will see the rays of light with different colors."

Nacreous clouds are said to be an extremely rare phenomenon that only appears in the sky in some extremely cold climates such as Antarctica, Alaska or Scandinavia. According to scientific explanation, in the extremely cold conditions of the polar winter, stratospheric clouds can form. Due to their great height and the curvature of the earth's surface, these types of clouds will receive sunlight from below the horizon and reflect it to the ground, creating a brilliant light right before dawn or after sunset. This extremely rare cloud phenomenon is called "nacreous clouds", usually forming at subzero temperatures. Therefore, the appearance of nacreous clouds on the top of Ba Den Mountain, the highest mountain in the South, is considered "unprecedented".

Along with the nacreous clouds, the appearance of the “jade clouds” on the early morning of the first day of the Linh Son Holy Mother Festival - the biggest and most important festival for the people of the South, made many Buddhists and tourists excited. Ms. Phan Thi Thuy (Binh Duong) shared: “Every year, I arrange my time to go to Ba Den Mountain to attend the Festival, to pay my respects and return to the merits of Linh Son Holy Mother Bodhisattva. Surprisingly, this year I was able to admire the phenomenon of jade clouds and worship the relics of Buddha Shakyamuni on the top of the mountain.”
