Welcoming Sheffield United at home, Man City is confident in its goal of winning. Man City's ambition was soon realized when the first half had not passed halfway. In the 14th minute, from Phil Foden's touch, Rodri rushed up and had a dangerous long-range shot to score the opening goal of the match for the home team.

With the advantage in terms of score, Man City played better and better. At one point, this team owned more than 80% of the ball rolling on the field. However, this was not the time when Man City created too many dangerous opportunities. They encountered a crowded defense and retreated deep in front of Sheffield's goal.

When it was difficult to approach Foderingham's goal, Man City players shot from afar but it was not effective. Meanwhile, the away team suffered in their own half and only started to have chances to score in the final minutes. Osula had 2 chances near Man City's goal but he missed both shots.

In the second half, the game did not change much. Man City still prevented Sheffield United from pushing up their formation even though they were in dire need of a goal. Coach Pep Guardiola adjusted his squad when Bobb was brought on to replace Grealish.

The young Norwegian player surprised many fans. He played flexibly, skillfully and brought new vitality to Man City's attack. In the 61st minute, Bobb passed the ball delicately for Foden to escape. The English midfielder crossed for Alvarez to run in and finish, doubling the gap for Man City.

In the remaining time, Sheffield United played with determination but could not create any chances like in the first half. Even the substitute striker Archer did not make any difference. Meanwhile, Man City attacked slowly and rarely pushed the pace of the match up. In the end, Man City defeated Sheffield United with a score of 2-0.

Despite the win, Man City could not reclaim second place from Aston Villa. In the match taking place at the same time, Aston Villa beat Burnley 3-2.
