(NLDO) - Some apricot flower shops in Vinh City on the eve of Tet hung up "clearance sale" signs but there were still few buyers.
On the morning of January 27 (the 28th day of the Lunar New Year), at many yellow apricot selling points along major roads in Vinh City, Nghe An: such as 72m Street, 3-2 Street, Tran Phu Street, Ho Chi Minh Square area; National Highway 46, Le Mao Street... small traders simultaneously hung "clearance sale" signs, reducing prices by 500,000 - 800,000 VND/tree, but still very few people asked to buy.
Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh, residing in Nghi Loc district, Nghe An, a mai seller in Ho Chi Minh Square area, sadly said: "Now Tet is probably over, spending more than a hundred million to buy more than 100 mai trees transported from Binh Dinh province, this whole week has only sold 30 trees. Now the price is reduced, you accept the loss to recover some capital but no one is asking to buy".
