Opportunity to buy group tickets for Hanoi tourist train

Hanoi - Lao Cai train has many attractive group ticket discounts, attracting tourists to travel to Sapa after Tet.

The Information and Communications Railway Transport Joint Stock Company is applying many attractive group ticket discounts for tourist trains on the Hanoi - Lao Cai route after Tet, except for peak holidays such as Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, April 30 - May 1 and National Day September 2.

Accordingly, groups of 11-28 people buying tickets will receive a 5% discount on the SP1 and SP3 trains from Hanoi to Lao Cai; and an 11% discount on the SP2, SP4 and SP10 trains from Lao Cai to Hanoi.

Groups of 29 - 56 people buying tickets will receive discounts of 7% and 13% respectively; groups of 56 people or more will receive discounts of 9% and 15% respectively.

Currently, the railway regularly runs the SP3 train departing from Hanoi station at 22:00 and arriving at Lao Cai station at 5:55; the SP7 train departing at 22:40 and arriving at 6:25. The ticket price for a 4-bed sleeper cabin ranges from 400,000 - 440,000 VND/person/trip.

In the opposite direction, train SP4 departs Lao Cai station at 9:30 and arrives at Hanoi station at 5:35; train SP8 departs at 12:05 and arrives at 19:37. Ticket prices range from 230,000 - 340,000 VND/person/trip.

Passengers who want to visit Sapa, when buying train tickets, can buy a bus ticket from Lao Cai station to destinations in Sapa within a 2km radius of the Stone Church and vice versa, the service price is 55,000 VND/bus ticket/trip.
