On March 16, Thanh Nien Newspaper reporters visited the construction site of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 Project in Ben Luc District (Long An). At the overpass (in package No. 2 - XL2, Tan Buu Commune, Ben Luc District), materials, vehicles, and machinery have all been gathered. The contractor has divided the construction into 17 teams to speed up the progress. However, there are still 4 houses in the construction area.

Residents are still staying in the construction area of ​​the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project through Tan Buu commune, Ben Luc district, Long An.

Mr. Pham Van Dan, Deputy Commander of the construction unit (under Tan Nam Construction Joint Stock Company) explained that these houses have not yet affected the construction progress. Because, currently, the unit is drilling bored piles, pouring concrete for the base, pier body of the expressway overpass and the bridge on the left parallel route. However, to ensure the right progress, the People's Committee of Ben Luc District (Long An) - the investor of the Site Clearance Sub-project (GPMB) must relocate the households no later than the end of June 2024.

Speaking with Thanh Nien Newspaper reporter, Mr. Le Thanh Ut, Chairman of Ben Luc District People's Committee (Long An), said that implementing Resolution 57 of the National Assembly (Resolution 57/2022/QH15) and a number of solutions of the Provincial Party Committee and Long An Provincial People's Committee to speed up the progress of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project through Long An province, Ben Luc District People's Committee has cleared land and basically handed over more than 43 hectares (reaching 98.5%) to construction units. Currently, there are still 31/394 households that have not been resettled, so these houses still exist in the project area.

According to Mr. Ut, Ben Luc District People's Committee is creating maximum conditions for these households to soon stabilize their new housing. In case they need to use concentrated resettlement land, Ben Luc District will arrange it in June 2024. However, there are currently 6/400 households that have not agreed to receive compensation due to many reasons and Ben Luc District People's Committee is continuing to mobilize and resolve.

Mr. Tran Thien Truc, Deputy Director of Long An Department of Transport (investor), informed that the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project through Long An is 6.84 km long, part of component projects 7 and 8 (divided into 3 packages XL1, XL2, XL3) with a total investment of nearly 4,200 billion VND, and started construction in June 2023. After the start of construction, the construction units encountered difficulties with sand sources, leading to delays.

By the end of 2023, the sand shortage will be basically resolved, along with timely funding arrangements, so contractors will accelerate the progress as much as possible. Currently, over 25% of the total construction volume has been completed, meeting the approved progress.

The section through Ben Luc District (Long An) has a route length of 6.84 km, the scale of the completed phase is 8 expressway lanes, expressway level 100 km/h; parallel roads on both sides (urban roads 2 - 3 lanes), urban road level 60 km/h. Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 is an inter-regional traffic connection project, along with other traffic routes and projects, connecting to industrial parks and clusters between Long An and the provinces of Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City...
