(NLDO) - From March 1, Binh Duong Police will have a new organizational model and apparatus, no more district and city police, and 99 team-level focal points will be reduced.
On the afternoon of March 1, Binh Duong Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the Decision of the Minister of Public Security on the organization of the local police apparatus and the Decision of the Director of Binh Duong Provincial Police on the organization of cadres.
Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Council, and Colonel Ta Van Dep presented the decision and congratulated the department heads.
According to the plan after arranging and implementing the new organizational structure, Binh Duong Provincial Police will reduce 9 district-level police units and 99 team-level police units.
To carry out the work of arranging and assigning cadres according to the new organizational model, Binh Duong Provincial Police announced and handed over the Decision of the Provincial Police Director to transfer 12 department heads, district-level police chiefs and 38 deputy district-level police chiefs to take up and hold positions at professional departments under the Provincial Police.
Colonel Ta Van Dep, Director of Binh Duong Provincial Police, said this event marked a step forward in the organization and reorganization of the apparatus towards streamlining, effective and efficient operations, meeting the requirements of the task of protecting security and order in the new period.

The Ministry of Public Security also assigned the Binh Duong Provincial Police to receive and manage the drug rehabilitation facility from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of the province and the drug rehabilitation facility No. 3 of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Volunteer Force, in addition to the four other tasks that have been assigned. These are state management of ensuring network information security; state management of criminal records and providing public services to issue criminal records; state management of drug rehabilitation and post-rehabilitation management; state management of testing and issuing driving licenses.
