On November 15, Turkey's Anadolu news agency reported that United Nations (UN) spokesman Stephane Dujarric announced that Israel has only approved the evacuation of a quarter of the 21,000 patients in Gaza since October 2023.
“Once again, we call for the establishment of evacuation corridors and the use of every possible route to ensure safe and timely transport of all patients requiring specialist care,” Mr Dujarric said.
According to UN officials, on November 13, the World Health Organization (WHO) and partners supported the medical evacuation of eight children and six accompanying people from Gaza to Jordan.

On the same day, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken had a phone call with his Israeli counterpart Gideon Sa'ar, reaffirming America's strong commitment to the security of its close Middle Eastern ally.
Mr. Blinken discussed Israel’s recent actions to increase the flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza, including food, medicine, and other essential supplies, and called on Israel to take additional steps to accelerate and sustain the delivery of lifesaving assistance.
In addition, Secretary Blinken emphasized the importance of ending the war in Gaza, repatriating all hostages, and establishing lasting peace and security for both Israelis and Palestinians.
The two sides also discussed the need for diplomatic measures in Lebanon to allow Lebanese and Israelis to return home.
Also related to Israel, on the same day, in a post on his personal blog, the European Union (EU) Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Representative Josep Borrell proposed officially suspending political dialogue with Israel because of its disregard for international law in the Gaza Strip.
The bloc will discuss the measures at its Foreign Affairs Council next week, he said.
