On the morning of March 19, the Asia's Excellent Taste Awards 2025 Honoring and Awarding Ceremony within the framework of the Food & Hospitality Hanoi 2025 Exhibition was held in Hanoi. Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh attended and delivered a speech.
Asia's Excellent Taste Awards is a prestigious culinary award to honor restaurant chefs, food and beverage products; at the same time, helping individuals and businesses enhance their reputation and strengthen brand recognition through international certification. Asia's Excellent Taste Awards has the participation of a prestigious Jury team of experts and representatives from international culinary organizations: Unesco Chairs, Vietnam Culinary Culture Association, Best of Gastronomie, Global Chefs Union, World IAC, Culinary Innovation Centre For Training & Development, UK Curry Connect, 5 Gold Star of the Kitchen. Each category of the award aims to honor the creativity, innovation and continuous efforts of individuals and businesses, bringing them closer to the leading position in the regional culinary field.

Asia's Excellent Taste Awards 2025 are presented in the following categories: Young Talented Master Chef; Talented Master Chef; Best Artisan; Prestigious Fine Dining Restaurant; Outstanding Casual Dining Restaurant; Innovative Plant-Based Products, Food Innovation, Dairy Innovation, Meat Innovation, Seafood Innovation, Beverage Innovation, Snack Innovation, International Product Innovation, Tea and Coffee Flavors, and Vietnamese Specialty Essence.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh expressed his pleasure at participating in this meaningful event for the Vietnamese tourism industry and highly appreciated the efforts and companionship of units, businesses, and chefs in the ceremony to honor and award the Asia's Excellent Taste Awards 2025. Director Nguyen Trung Khanh said that in recent times, thanks to the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister, the participation of ministries, branches, localities, and businesses, the tourism industry has strongly recovered. In 2024, Vietnam tourism welcomed 17.6 million international visitors, an increase of 39.5% compared to 2023; served 110 million domestic tourists; total revenue from tourism reached about 840 trillion VND. With that result, Vietnam is considered the country with the fastest recovering tourism in the ASEAN region with a recovery rate of up to 98%.
The Vietnamese tourism industry is expected by the Government to be one of the pillars to promote economic growth in the coming period. In 2025, the Government assigned the tourism industry the target of attracting 22-23 million international visitors, serving 120-130 million domestic visitors, and total tourism revenue reaching about 1 million billion VND.

“This is a high goal that the Government has assigned to the Vietnamese tourism industry. This requires cooperation, joint efforts and consensus from all sectors in the Vietnamese tourism industry to achieve the goal assigned by the Government in Resolution No. 25/NQ-CP dated February 5,” emphasized Director Nguyen Trung Khanh.

On this occasion, the Director highly appreciated the efforts and companionship of the culinary industry, businesses, and chefs at the Asia's Excellent Taste Awards 2025 Honoring and Awarding Ceremony, which have contributed to the growth and development of Vietnam's tourism industry to achieve better quality. "The Asia's Excellent Taste Awards 2025 Honoring and Awarding Ceremony is not only an opportunity to honor chefs, businesses, and restaurants that have been carefully selected by international judges. This is also an opportunity to promote the culinary industry and the field of Vietnamese culinary culture, promoting Vietnam's special dishes to international friends and domestic tourists" - Director Nguyen Trung Khanh commented.
