Dien Hong Award Ceremony: Honoring 83 outstanding works

On the evening of January 5, the third National Press Award Ceremony for the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Award) in 2025 was held at the Vietnam - Soviet Union Friendship Cultural Palace (Hanoi). This is an important event, very meaningful to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2025).

Attending the ceremony were: Former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung; former Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong; Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan; Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha; Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly: Nguyen Khac Dinh - Head of the Steering Committee for Dien Hong Award, Nguyen Duc Hai, Tran Quang Phuong.

Also attending were members of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the Ethnic Council, the National Assembly Committees, the Boards of the National Assembly Standing Committee, leaders of central and local ministries, departments and branches...

Timely transmission of activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils

Speaking at the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man stated: Building on the results of the two previous editions, this year, the Organizing Committee of the Award received journalistic works with new, creative, attractive, and convincing research, which were well received by readers and highly appreciated by the Award Judging Council. Many articles have highlighted the efforts and determination to innovate, improve the quality of operations, and achieve important and comprehensive results in all aspects of the National Assembly's work in 2024. In particular, many articles have deeply analyzed the innovations in legislative work and decisions on important issues of the country, shifting the thinking of law-making towards both ensuring the requirements of state management and encouraging creativity, liberating all productive forces, unleashing all resources for development with the spirit of breakthrough, reform, decentralization, radical decentralization, proactive delegation, ensuring flexibility in the Government's operations in the context of constantly changing practical situations, responding most quickly and effectively to socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security and taking better care of people's lives.

Towards the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding; 135th anniversary of the birth of beloved President Ho Chi Minh; 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; 80th anniversary of the Founding of the Country; 80th anniversary of the First General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam; 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man believes that journalists will continue to promote their love for the profession with a bright heart, sharp pen, and strong mind, accompanying the National Assembly, promptly conveying the activities of the National Assembly in terms of legislation, supreme supervision, and deciding on important issues of the country; exploring and discovering shortcomings and obstacles in the process of law-making and law enforcement; urgent issues of the people and businesses to reflect to the National Assembly and the People's Council for timely solutions; help the National Assembly and People's Councils operate more and more effectively and efficiently, worthy of the trust of voters and people nationwide.

In particular, the press needs to strongly spread the positive spirit, aspirations, new determination, and new momentum throughout the entire Party, people, and army, especially the messages of General Secretary To Lam, which are also the Party's leadership policy on the era of national rise, as a call to arms, urging the spirit of action, innovation, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility; on innovation of the overall organizational model of the entire political system with the level and scale of a revolution in organizational apparatus; messages on science and technology development, digital transformation with the determination to popularize digital transformation among the entire population; messages on administrative procedure reform, anti-corruption, waste, and negativity, not only for the benefit of the nation, people, the benefit of oneself, family, and society, but also for the responsibility to future generations.

Honoring 83 outstanding works

After more than 11 months of launching, the Organizing Committee has received 4,079 entries from 163 press agencies. The preliminary and final judging panels have worked objectively, fairly and transparently, selecting 83 best entries to propose to the Organizing Committee for awards; including 8 A prizes, 15 B prizes, 20 C prizes and 40 Encouragement prizes.

At the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan awarded 8 A Prizes to authors and groups of authors including: Author Nguyen Thuy Hoa (Nguyen Le) - Investment Newspaper with a series of 3 articles: When important monitoring methods are "renewed".

This year's Awards, Vietnam News Agency has 4 authors and groups of authors awarded prizes, including: Group of authors Cao Thi Thuy Giang, Nguyen Thi Thuy - VietnamPlus e-newspaper with a series of 5 articles: Ensuring social security, National Assembly closely following the "breath" of life, won Prize A.

Author group Pham Thi Hong Thanh, Do Quoc Dung, Hoang Phuong Thao - News Television Center with the work: Removing "bottlenecks" of "bottlenecks", won B Prize.

Author Luu Trong Dat with the work: The National Assembly delegation of Hoa Binh province organized many meaningful and effective activities, won the C Prize.

Author group Ngo Thi Kim Anh and Nguyen Van Canh with a series of 3 articles: Removing institutional bottlenecks from legislative thinking, won the Encouragement Prize.

The Organizing Committee of the Award selected and awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chief of the National Assembly Office to collectives with outstanding achievements and important contributions to the success of the third Dien Hong Award - 2025.

Launching the 4th Dien Hong Award - 2026

Announcing the launch of the fourth Dien Hong Award - 2026, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh, Head of the Steering Committee of the Dien Hong Award, said that in 2025 and early 2026, the Party, State and people will solemnly organize many activities to celebrate the country's major holidays, including activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026), thereby contributing to recognizing and honoring the great and glorious role of the National Assembly of Vietnam in the process of building and developing the country.

The organization of the fourth Dien Hong Award - 2026 with the enthusiastic and dedicated participation of press agencies, journalists and journalists nationwide is of great significance in widely promoting the 80-year journey of building, developing and continuously innovating the National Assembly of Vietnam, in conjunction with the emulation to achieve achievements to welcome Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The works participating in the 4th Dien Hong Award - 2026 need to focus on reflecting on innovation in thinking in law-making, supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country; closely following the key tasks of the Party and State, focusing on reflecting and analyzing in depth the activities of the National Assembly, People's Councils at all levels and elected representatives; summarizing the activities of the 15th National Assembly, the activities of People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term; aiming at the successful election of the new National Assembly and People's Councils. On that basis, draw lessons, continue to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of elected agencies under the leadership of the Party, contributing to bringing the country into a new era.
