(CLO) On the evening of January 5, at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace, Hanoi, the third National Press Awards Ceremony for the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Awards) took place in 2025, on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly.

Speaking at the Award Ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that, promoting the results of the two previous editions, this year, the Award Organizing Committee received journalistic works with new, creative, attractive, and convincing research, which were well received by readers and highly appreciated by the Award Judging Council.

Many articles have highlighted the efforts and determination to innovate, improve the quality of operations, and achieve important and comprehensive results in all aspects of the National Assembly's work in 2024.

In particular, there are many articles that deeply analyze the innovations in legislative work and decisions on important issues of the country, shifting the thinking of law-making towards both ensuring the requirements of state management and encouraging creativity, liberating all productive forces, and unleashing all resources for development with the spirit of breakthrough, reform, decentralization, and radical decentralization.

Looking forward to celebrating the nation's major holidays in 2025, comrade Tran Thanh Man expressed his belief that journalists will continue to promote their love for the profession with a bright heart, sharp pen, and strong mind, accompanying the National Assembly, promptly conveying the activities of the National Assembly in terms of legislation, supreme supervision, and deciding on important issues of the country.

At the same time, explore and discover shortcomings and obstacles in the process of law making and law enforcement; urgent issues of people and businesses to reflect to the National Assembly and People's Councils, have solutions to remove and resolve promptly; help the National Assembly and People's Councils operate more and more effectively, worthy of the trust of voters and people nationwide.

In particular, the press needs to strongly spread the positive spirit, new aspirations, determination, and new momentum throughout the entire Party, people, and army, especially the messages of General Secretary To Lam, which are also the Party's leadership policy on the era of national development, as a call to arms, urging the spirit of action, innovation, daring to think, daring to do, and daring to take responsibility.

After more than 11 months of launching the third Dien Hong Award, the Organizing Committee has received 4,079 entries from 163 press agencies. The entries are diverse, increasing in quantity and quality, especially in the categories of electronic newspapers, radio, television, and print newspapers.

The works closely follow the breath of life, are diverse in topics and fields, and clearly reflect the new directive priorities of the Politburo, the 13th Central Executive Committee, and General Secretary To Lam, especially the issues raised for the country and the entire political system to prepare the position, strength and determination to bring the country into a new era - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.

In addition, the works focus on vividly reflecting the functions and activities of the National Assembly in legislation, supreme supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country; in which, many works have focused on exploiting the theme of innovation in legislative thinking, institutional innovation, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels...

Many works are invested in elaborately, long-term, using multimedia and graphics, demonstrating the professionalism of modern journalism and the serious and responsible work of authors and groups of authors.

Based on the research of the profiles of 105 works proposed by the Preliminary Judging Council for the final round, the Final Judging Council selected 83 best works to propose to the Organizing Committee to award prizes, including: 8 A prizes, 15 B prizes, 20 C prizes, 40 Encouragement prizes.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chief of the National Assembly Office to 20 collectives with outstanding achievements, making important contributions to the success of the 3rd Dien Hong Award - 2025.

Launching the fourth Dien Hong Award, Comrade Nguyen Khac Dinh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly and Head of the Steering Committee of the Dien Hong Award, emphasized that the works participating in the Award should focus on reflecting on innovative thinking in law-making, supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country.

At the same time, closely following the key tasks of the Party and State, focusing on reflecting and analyzing in depth the activities of the National Assembly, People's Councils at all levels and elected representatives; summarizing the activities of the 15th National Assembly, the activities of People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term; towards the election of the new National Assembly and People's Councils.

On that basis, draw lessons to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of elected agencies under the leadership of the Party, contributing to bringing the country into a new era.
