Vinh Phuc speeds up forest planting plan

In 2025, Vinh Phuc aims to plant 600 hectares of new concentrated forests. To ensure the plan and area of ​​​​forest planting, from the beginning of the year, forestry units, localities and forest owners in the province have proactively planned and prepared land, seedlings and post-planting forest care techniques.

Because 2 hectares of acacia were completely damaged in storm No. 3 in 2024, Mr. Nguyen Van Tri's family reported to the Phuc Yen City Forest Protection Department to collect the fallen forest area, clear the ground cover, and prepare the land for spring forest planting in 2025. During these days, taking advantage of favorable weather, Mr. Tri's family has been planting production forests after exploitation.

The main time for forest planting will be from March to July. Early forest planting will promote the growth and development of forest trees in the remaining rainy months, contributing to ensuring the highest survival rate. Thanks to good preparation of conditions, since the beginning of the year, localities, units and forest owners have planted over 80 hectares of production forest, reaching nearly 14% of the plan, mainly eucalyptus and Australian hybrid acacia.

In 2025, Vinh Phuc strives to plant 600 hectares of concentrated forests and over 736,800 scattered trees. To ensure the progress of forest planting, since the beginning of the year, the Provincial Forest Protection Department has directed the District Forest Protection Department, urged and guided forest owners to promote the work of clearing the ground cover, prepare sufficient means and resources... to carry out replacement and supplementary forest planting in localities. The Provincial Forest Protection Department also directed the District and City Forest Protection Departments, and the Inter-District Forest Protection Departments to assign staff to coordinate with forest owners to strengthen inspection of seedling quality, instruct households on techniques for planting, caring for and protecting forests after planting.
