The 2025 high school graduation exam is the first year to apply the 2018 General Education Program, with many innovations in form and content. Faced with these changes, high schools in Mai Son district, Son La province have proactively planned to review and support students early, aiming for a serious, safe exam with high results.
Right from the beginning of the school year, Mai Son High School has proactively innovated teaching methods, classified students according to registered subject groups, and from there built appropriate review plans to maximize each student's capacity.
Student Nguyen Cam Tu, class 12B1 - Mai Son High School, Mai Son: " I have built for myself a review schedule combining learning key knowledge and practicing test-taking skills. Not only that, I also train both my physical and mental health. With this careful preparation, I believe that I will achieve high results in the official exam."
In the 2024-2025 school year, Mai Son High School has 499 students taking the graduation exam. The school has organized 2 mock exams to assess capacity, adjust teaching methods and support weak students.
Teacher Lo Trung Dung, Mai Son High School: " In class, we also create a friendly and positive learning environment and regularly encourage students to actively review to achieve the best results. To evaluate students' progress, we have also organized two mock tests according to the school's exam questions and through each mock test, we have evaluated and adjusted the teaching method to suit the students."
In addition to general review, teachers also pay special attention to subjects that few students choose, ensuring that no student is left behind.
Teacher Ha Thi Hong Dung, Mai Son High School, Mai Son: “ This is the first time that information technology has been included in the high school entrance exam and therefore the number of students registering for this exam is still very low because universities are currently recruiting for primary school students with limited cardiology subjects, so the number of students registering is still hesitant. As a teacher, this is the first time participating in the review, although there are only three students, we are always struggling to find ways to help students review to achieve the highest efficiency.”
From capacity surveys to organizing free tutoring classes, schools in the area are drastically implementing solutions to support students, especially those with limited academic ability.
Teacher Lai The Dung, Vice Principal of Mai Son High School: " This year, Mai Son High School has 499 candidates registered for the graduation exam and high school graduation exam. The school has issued free tutoring plans for afternoon training students. The school has requested that professional groups review the plan. After two trial exams, the school has classified each student group and organized free tutoring for students."
The entire Mai Son district currently has nearly 1,500 grade 12 students registered for the high school graduation exam this year. The review atmosphere is taking place urgently and seriously in all schools. With the careful preparation of teachers, the efforts of students and the companionship of parents, we believe that students in Mai Son district will confidently enter the exam and achieve the highest results./.
