Ho Chi Minh City leaders visit the family of the late Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thien Thanh

On November 18, on the occasion of Vietnam Teachers' Day (November 20), a delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee led by Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - visited the family of the late Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thien Thanh, Hero of Labor, People's Physician, former Director of Thong Nhat Hospital, former Head of the Department of Geriatrics, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Nguyen Thien Thanh is the father of Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan, former Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

Visiting the family, Mr. Hai, on behalf of the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, expressed gratitude and remembered the contributions of the late Professor Dr. Nguyen Thien Thanh and generations of his family to the cause of education and training, health care, and science of Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country.

On behalf of his family, Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan expressed his gratitude for the city leaders' affection for Nguyen Thien Thanh's father and family.

Mr. Nhan also discussed with the delegation about the development of the education sector and gave suggestions on policies for developing happy schools in Ho Chi Minh City.

On the same day, a delegation of Ho Chi Minh City leaders led by Mr. Pham Thanh Kien - Standing Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council - visited and congratulated Associate Professor Dr. Pham Van Nang, former principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics; Meritorious Teacher, Associate Professor Dr. Cao Minh Thi, former director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training.

Mr. Kien expressed gratitude for the contributions of teachers to the city's education career, wishing teachers good health and continued contributions and advice for the city's development.
