Leaders of Thang Binh district visited and wished monks, nuns and Buddhists of Giac Quang Pagoda, Giac Nguyen Pagoda (Ha Lam town) and Giac Thanh Pagoda (Binh Nguyen commune) a peaceful and warm Buddha's birthday; at the same time, acknowledged the contributions of Buddhism in the construction and socio-economic development of Thang Binh district.
Currently, Thang Binh district has 40 Buddhist places of worship. On the occasion of Buddha's Birthday 2024, the district established 4 working groups to visit 14 places of worship.
* Last weekend, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thang Binh district also held a meeting with Buddhist dignitaries to celebrate Buddha's birthday, Buddhist calendar 2568, solar calendar 2024.
At the meeting, the district leaders informed about the socio-economic situation, security and defense in the first 5 months of 2024. Accordingly, the locality announced the planning of Thang Binh district area until 2030; the value of industrial and construction production reached 1,860 billion VND, reaching 29.18% of the annual plan; 100% of communes and towns opened and organized sports competitions...
The district leaders hope that the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Thang Binh district will continue to encourage monks, nuns and Buddhists to fully fulfill their responsibilities and obligations as citizens, live in harmony and solidarity between Buddhism and other religions, and contribute to the development of Thang Binh homeland.
