Loving, respecting and being proud of the thousand-year-old cultural heritage, the youth of Quang Ninh today have constantly created to continue the source, to cultivate the values, cultural identity and people of the Mining Region through many generations. In their own way, each member of the Youth Union has been and is working together to concretize Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU dated October 30, 2023 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee "On building and promoting cultural values and human strength of Quang Ninh to become an endogenous resource and driving force for rapid and sustainable development".
As one of the leading and pioneering Youth Union units in concretizing Resolution 17-NQ/TU, the Youth Union of Provincial Agencies has developed plans and implemented many practical projects and tasks to propagate and raise awareness of Youth Union members about Resolution 17-NQ/TU. Accordingly, last October, the Youth Union of the Bloc organized for the first time the contest "Youth Journey to connect and spread cultural values and people of Quang Ninh" in 2024. The contest took place enthusiastically, attracting the participation of affiliated Youth Union units through 2 preliminary and final rounds. In particular, in the final round with the participation of 10 teams, the Youth Union members all demonstrated their knowledge and deep understanding of the cultural values and people of Quang Ninh.
Along with that, the Youth Union of the Bloc has regularly organized activities to promote and disseminate the characteristics and cultural identity of Quang Ninh people such as: "Creative Youth" Festival with an exhibition of 60 artistic photos about the history, culture and people of Quang Ninh; Golden Bell Contest in English revolving around knowledge about the economy, society, history, culture and people of Quang Ninh; mobilizing socialized resources to carry out the youth project "Restoring the traditional house of the Dao people in Tan Truc Tung village, Quang An commune, Dam Ha district" in 2023...
Comrade Vu Thi Thuy Linh, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Provincial Agencies, shared: In parallel with the purpose of propaganda through specific activities organized to contribute to raising awareness, responsibility, promoting the dynamic and creative spirit of the Youth Union of the Bloc in proposing solutions and initiatives to participate in building and promoting the values of Quang Ninh people with 8 characteristics: "Courage, Self-reliance, Discipline, Solidarity, Affection, Generosity, Creativity, Civilization" and the value system of Quang Ninh province with 6 characteristics: "Beautiful nature, Unique culture, Civilized society, Transparent administration, Developed economy, Happy people".
Not only the Youth Union of the Bloc, local Youth Union units have also actively participated in implementing Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU. In addition to proactively implementing activities to preserve traditional culture, in recent times, the Youth Union at all levels of the province has promoted propaganda and education to raise awareness and provide proper orientation for the younger generation to absorb and preserve traditional cultural values associated with modern cultural values to enrich the cultural identity and people of Quang Ninh. The entire Youth Union has deployed the construction and installation of QR Codes at nearly 300 red addresses, historical and cultural relics in the province, to provide information and automatic explanations in promoting culture and tourism for people and tourists.
At the same time, promote the organization of trips to visit and learn about historical and cultural relics throughout the province; periodically organize cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities such as: Commending young people with beautiful lives, commending young faces and young talents of the province. Youth Union chapters at all levels have actively mobilized young people to respond and enthusiastically participate in the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas" through activities and models of building cultural life, civilized lifestyle at the grassroots level... From here, it contributes to orienting and creating an environment for young people to practice, practice a healthy lifestyle, and build a rich spiritual and cultural life.
Recently, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has developed a plan to organize a communication campaign "Promoting the role of youth in building and developing the culture and people of Quang Ninh", with the aim of propagating, thoroughly grasping, deploying and implementing seriously, effectively and substantially the viewpoints, goals, tasks and solutions of Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU. At the same time, promoting the highest role and responsibility of the Youth Union organization, the role of young union members in participating in building and developing a culture rich in identity, associated with quickly narrowing the gap between rich and poor and regional differences, contributing to building Quang Ninh province with the following characteristics: "Beautiful nature - Unique culture - Civilized society - Transparent administration - Developed economy - Happy people".
Accordingly, the campaign includes two major activities: Building a movement and cultural communication trend "Quang Ninh in my eyes is..." to call for the participation of young people and the public in creative innovation and cultural communication activities of Quang Ninh province on social networks; and building a digital map "Quang Ninh - cultural colors" created by 140,000 Images, videos, clips about culture and people of Quang Ninh to spread and highlight the culture, people, and qualities of the new generation of Quang Ninh youth.
