Accordingly, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Tan District requested the Chief of Police of this district to urgently direct specialized departments to investigate and clarify the content of the case for handling according to legal regulations and report the results to the Chairman of the district no later than August 22. At the same time, direct to clarify the responsibilities of organizations and individuals involved in the management of the area who have delayed information and reporting.
The incident occurred at 12:00 on August 10. On August 14, Ms. LTS (69 years old, residing in Tan Quang A hamlet, Nguyen Viet Khai commune, Phu Tan district) reported to Nguyen Viet Khai commune police, but it was not until August 17 that the commune police reported to the commune People's Committee.

Before Nguyen Viet Khai Commune Police received information that Ms. S. was beaten by her daughter-in-law, a YouTube account posted a clip of more than 15 minutes long recording Ms. S. talking about the incident. According to the clip, Ms. S. said that she advised her daughter-in-law not to smash dishes while drinking and not to answer the phone late at night, which would affect the family. Since then, Ms. S. has been beaten by her daughter-in-law.
