KPNest 2024 Chess Tournament for the KPNest Gold-Plated Cup will be organized by KPNest Bird's Nest Development Joint Stock Company in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Chess Federation on December 1 at The Adora (431 Hoang Van Thu, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City).
Pham Tran Gia Phuc and many young Vietnamese chess players have registered to compete in the KPNest chess tournament.
According to the regulations, the KPNest chess tournament is open to all domestic and international players. The tournament has a total of 12 groups including U.8 men, U.8 women, U.10 men, U.10 women, U.12 men, U.12 women, U.14 men, U.14 women, U.16 men, U.16 women, men's open and women's open. The regulations also clearly state that male players with an elo of over 2,200 and female players with an elo of over 2,000 must register to participate in the open group and are exempted from the tournament entry fee.
The KPNest chess tournament rules also stipulate that the competition will be blitz chess with 15 games and a playing time of 3 minutes/game plus 2 seconds after each move. The registration fee is 1,200,000 VND/athlete and the registration deadline is before November 20.

Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Truyen, General Director of KPNest Bird's Nest Development Joint Stock Company, Head of the tournament organizing committee, said: "We have the financial capacity to let athletes register for free, but that will not control the number of athletes. Paying the fee also makes the athletes responsible and make efforts in training and competing." In order to attract strong players to compete, the organizing committee also sponsors airfare and accommodation at 5-star hotels for players with the level of international grandmasters and female international grandmasters.

The KPNest Chess Tournament is highly appreciated for its large-scale, professional organization and "unprecedented" prizes in Vietnam with a total prize value of up to 2 billion VND. The champion of each group will receive a gold-plated cup, a laurel wreath and a prize of 50 million VND. Second place will receive 20 million VND, third place will receive 10 million VND. Players ranked from 4th to 10th will receive 3 million VND. In addition, the organizers also have a lucky draw program for all players participating in the tournament with many attractive prizes.
The deadline to register for the KPNest chess tournament is before November 20, and nearly 400 athletes have already registered.
