This is a special tournament organized by TNTP&ND newspaper in collaboration with the Vietnam Chess Federation to create a useful intellectual playground, an opportunity for young chess players to exchange, learn and conquer top chess moves.

Writer, journalist Nguyen Phan Khue - Member of the Central Council of Young Pioneers, Editor-in-Chief of TNTP&ND Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament said: "During the 70-year development of TNTP&ND Newspaper, we have organized many activities and events from intellectual playgrounds to sports tournaments for teenagers and children. We are very happy to organize a chess tournament for students from 28/63 provinces and cities across the country. The tournament will help them improve their intelligence, nurture their passion for chess and that is also the joy of the organizers of this meaningful program".

Nearly 2,000 young players entered the competition with many exciting and dramatic matches. At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded 20 first prizes, 20 second prizes, 40 third prizes and 80 consolation prizes in 5 age groups including kindergarten and grade 1; grade 2-3; grade 4-5; grade 6-7; grade 8-9 in two groups: amateur and advanced with a total prize value of up to 100 million VND.

With the support of the units, parents and teachers, the Organizing Committee hopes that the young players will continue to develop their talents and achieve more success in the future. The success of this year's tournament promises to continue to attract a large number of students to participate in the following years.
