With the theme of Returning to the Rhododendron Land, the first Putaleng Festival of Tam Duong District in 2024 will take place from November 22 to 24 in Muong Lu Lake area, Tam Duong town, Lai Chau province.
According to information from the organizing committee, the Putaleng festival includes many activities such as: the 3rd Putaleng Vietnam Open Paragliding Competition in 2024; the 2nd Putaleng Open Traditional Run in 2024 to conquer Tac Tinh Waterfall; raft racing on Muong Lu Lake; the 2nd Mong Khen Festival in Tam Duong District in 2024... During the festival, visitors will also be able to participate in the space introducing the culture of ethnic groups in Tam Duong District; the space to introduce products, promote and display local specialties; along with tourism promotion activities, must-see destinations in Lai Chau...
Ancient rhododendron forest on Putaleng mountain (Lai Chau)
The opening ceremony of the Putaleng festival is scheduled to take place on the evening of November 22nd and the highlight is the announcement of the Decision to recognize the ancient rhododendron forest on Putaleng mountain as the largest in Vietnam. Along with that is an art performance imbued with the cultural identity of the people of the ethnic groups in Tam Duong district. The art performance combines elements of music, cinema, lighting effects and stage.
The dance scenes introduce the land and people of Tam Duong, Lai Chau - a land with vast rhododendron forests, water wheels that roll all year round. The Dragon Cloud Glass Bridge is 2,800m above sea level. The music will lead the audience to immerse themselves in the sea of clouds, the sea of flowers with captivating sounds and colors...
