Kien Giang ranked fourth in the 2025 National Chess Championship

Chess player Bao Khoa and chess player Vo Thanh Ninh received gold and silver medals in Maruk chess.

On March 10, the Kien Giang Chess Federation announced that at the end of the 2025 National Chess Championship, Kien Giang players won 5 medals of various types; including 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals; ranked fourth overall at the tournament.

Specifically, in the Maruk chess event, players Bao Khoa and Vo Thanh Ninh won gold and silver medals respectively in the men's category; player Vu Thi Dieu Uyen won bronze in the women's category. Players Lu Chan Hung and Vu Hoang Gia Bao won silver and bronze medals in the ASEAN chess event for men.

The first, second and third places respectively belonged to Ho Chi Minh City with 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 4 bronze medals; Hanoi with 2 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals; Ben Tre with 2 gold medals.
