As early as 6am, thousands of people were present at the Hung Temple Historical Site (Viet Tri City, Phu Tho Province) to attend the Incense Offering Ceremony to commemorate the Hung Kings. Attending the ceremony today were representatives of the Party and State leaders, central agencies and ministries. Functional forces were also present early to coordinate to ensure security and order for the ceremony.
At exactly 6:30 a.m., the memorial procession, along with the ritual group, palanquin procession, and offerings, departed from the Hung Temple Festival Center yard, gradually moving through the Nghi Mon Gate, the Lower Temple, the Middle Temple, and up to the Upper Temple.
At the Kinh Thien Palace area, on the sacred Nghia Linh mountain top, President Vo Van Thuong led the delegation into the Upper Palace to perform the incense offering ceremony.
The incense offering group included young women wearing red ao dai carrying incense, flowers, and offerings, and 100 Lac and Hong descendants in ancient costumes, holding high festival flags, demonstrating the strong vitality of the Dragon Fairy lineage. All respectfully expressed the deep gratitude of the Vietnamese people to the Hung Kings and their ancestors who had contributed to building and defending the country.
Immediately after the incense offering procession of Party and State leaders, people from all over the country began to eagerly enter to offer incense sticks in memory of the Hung Kings.
Due to the heavy rain in the Hung Temple area from early morning, it gradually stopped, so the number of people coming here is increasing. Everyone is excited, happy and proud to stand on the land of the ancestors on the great national holiday.
In addition to the ceremony, this year's Hung Kings' Commemoration Day is accompanied by many other rich activities. The festival activities are organized in a joyful and healthy manner, closely linked with tourism, to introduce, promote and honor the values of the unique cultural heritage of the land of the ancestors./.
