According to a source from Nghe An Provincial Police, Tan Ky District Police recently arrested and prosecuted two subjects Nguyen Van Hung (32 years old), residing in Quang Xuong District, Thanh Hoa Province and Tran Van Tri (33 years old), residing in Nam Dan District, Nghe An Province for fraud and property appropriation.
Understanding the psychology of many people wanting to get a driver's license without spending time studying and taking the test, Hung and Tri informed the victims that they could help students pass the test, shorten the study time, and thereby defraud dozens of students across the country of more than 500 million VND.

To gain the trust of the victims, the scammers introduced themselves as teaching or working as managers at reputable driving training centers, even running advertisements, creating fake interactions or being willing to teach students a few lessons to gain the trust of the victims.
Lieutenant Colonel Dao Minh Khoi, Deputy Chief of Tan Ky District Police, said: "The subject introduced himself as a deputy director, an officer who received driver's license training at 2 centers in the North and 1 center in the Central region, then took photos and provided false information that he was a driving test center using many forms, shortening the study time and committing to 100% passing the theory test."
The police agency determined that with the trick of 100% theory pass guarantee, at least 40 students who wanted to learn to drive cars in many provinces and cities across the country fell into the trap of the two subjects above. Currently, the investigation is continuing to expand.
