Coffee prices continue to rise
Coffee prices in the Central Highlands provinces continued to increase, increasing from 2,000 to 2,200 VND/kg compared to yesterday's trading session. Currently, the average purchase price is at 125,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, today's coffee price in Dak Lak is 125,000 VND/kg, coffee price in Lam Dong is 123,700 VND/kg, coffee price in Gia Lai is 125,000 VND/kg and coffee price in Dak Nong today is 125,000 VND/kg.
In the world market, Robusta coffee prices on the London floor tend to increase sharply, fluctuating between 4899 - 5099 USD/ton. Specifically, the delivery price for May 2025 is 5099 USD/ton; the delivery price for July 2025 is 5049 USD/ton; the delivery price for September 2025 is 4971 USD/ton and the delivery price for November 2025 is 4899 USD/ton.
Similarly, the price of Arabica coffee on the New York floor in the early morning of April 13 also increased sharply, increasing by 8.6 - 14.85 cents/lb, fluctuating from 341.25 - 357.7 cents/lb. Specifically, the delivery period in May 2025 is 357.7 cents/lb; the delivery period in July 2025 is 353.6 cents/lb; the delivery period in September 2025 is 347.8 cents/lb and the delivery period in December 2025 is 341.25 cents/lb.
The price of Brazilian Arabica coffee fluctuated between 423.15 and 472.45 USD/ton compared to yesterday's trading session. It was recorded as follows: the May 2025 delivery period was 472.45 USD/ton; the July 2025 delivery period was 443.3 USD/ton; the September 2025 delivery period was 426.3 and the December 2025 delivery period was 423.15 USD/ton.
Domestic pepper prices also increased along with the increase in coffee prices.
Domestic pepper prices also increased from 1,000 to 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday's trading session. Currently, the average pepper purchase price in key areas is 155,300 VND/kg.
Specifically, today's pepper price in Gia Lai province increased slightly, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently the pepper purchase price in this locality is at 154,000 VND/kg.
Similarly, pepper price in Binh Phuoc increased by 1,000 VND compared to the previous trading session, currently pepper price is purchased at 154,000 VND/kg.
Pepper prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Dak Lak increased sharply compared to yesterday, an increase of 2,000 VND/kg, currently pepper is purchased at 155,000 VND/kg.
Dak Nong pepper price increased sharply compared to yesterday, an increase of 1,500 VND/kg, currently the pepper purchase price is at 156,500 VND/kg.
In the world market, pepper prices in leading exporting countries are stable.
Specifically, the International Pepper Association listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,147 USD/ton; similarly, Muntok white pepper is currently purchased at 9,805 USD/ton.
The Malaysian pepper market remained stable compared to the most recent trading session. Currently, the price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper is purchased at 9,850 USD/ton and the price of ASTA white pepper is at 12,300 USD/ton.
Pepper prices in Brazil have stabilized after previous declines, with the current purchase price reaching $6,800/ton.
Vietnam's pepper export market has not changed compared to yesterday. Specifically, the export price of Vietnam's black pepper is currently at 6,600 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l is at 6,800 USD/ton and the price of white pepper is at 9,600 USD/ton.
