New information regarding the issuance and renewal of driver's licenses.

(NLĐO) - The Traffic Police Department (PC08) of the Ho Chi Minh City Police has completed the training for commune-level police officers on issuing and renewing driver's licenses.

On March 15th, representatives from the Traffic Police Department (PC08) of the Ho Chi Minh City Police announced that they will begin accepting applications for driver's license renewals and reissues at 22 locations in wards, communes, and towns across Ho Chi Minh City starting from March 17th.

Police officers are providing training on renewing and issuing driver's licenses to citizens.

According to PC08, as of March 14th, PC08 had received 6,859 applications for driver's license renewal and reissuance directly and 2,514 applications registered through Public Service 4.

To facilitate the issuance and renewal of driver's licenses for citizens, saving time, travel costs, and waiting times, from March 17th, the Ho Chi Minh City Police will officially expand the issuance and renewal of driver's licenses to police stations in 17 wards of districts and Thu Duc City that currently register motorcycles, and to police stations in 5 central communes of Binh Chanh, Can Gio, Cu Chi, Hoc Mon, and Nha Be districts.

Prior to that, PC08 also completed the training on issuing and renewing driver's licenses for commune-level police officers on March 14th.

Thus, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department has 25 locations for receiving applications for driver's license renewal and reissuance, including 22 locations at commune-level police stations and 3 locations at: 252 Ly Chinh Thang Street, Ward 9 (District 3); 8 Nguyen Anh Thu Street, Trung My Tay Ward (District 12); and 111 Tan Son Nhi Street, Tan Son Nhi Ward (Tan Phu District).

Working hours: Monday to Friday (7:30 AM - 11:30 AM; 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM) and Saturday (7:30 AM - 11:30 AM).

When needing to renew or reissue a driver's license, citizens can choose to submit their application through the National Public Service Portal or go to the aforementioned locations for processing.
