On the morning of August 29, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) held the inauguration ceremony of the 500 kV circuit 3 transmission line project from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen) in a direct and online form with the main bridge point in Hung Yen province.

The 500 kV line circuit 3 Quang Trach - Pho Noi has a total length of 519 km, 2 circuits with 1,177 pole locations, with a total investment of more than 22,300 billion VND. The project has a volume of earth and rock excavation of more than 2.5 million m3 , using more than 705,000 m3 of concrete, nearly 70,000 tons of foundation steel; a total volume of steel pole erection of 139,000 tons; pulling a total of nearly 14,000 km of various types of conductors. This is a key, urgent project of great significance, improving the power transmission capacity from the Central region to the North with a capacity of 2,500 MW to 5,000 MW, contributing to ensuring national energy security.
The 500 kV line 3 project in Thai Binh province passes through 4 districts: Vu Thu, Dong Hung, Hung Ha, Quynh Phu with a total length of 38.93 km, with 107 pole locations. To implement the project, the state had to reclaim land from 505 households and 77 households whose houses were affected in the power grid safety corridor. With the drastic direction, encouragement and timely support of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the entire political system, the consensus and assistance of all classes of people, the site clearance work was soon completed and the construction of the project was implemented on schedule.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the 500kV line 3, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed: In order for the project with a large volume of work and a short implementation time to be completed on schedule, there must be high consensus from the people; the investor, contractor, and construction unit must be highly determined, make great efforts, only discuss work without backtracking, work in 3 shifts, 4 teams during holidays and Tet to complete the construction at lightning speed.
The Prime Minister commended all levels, sectors, localities, collectives, individuals, compatriots and soldiers for actively participating and supporting the project to be built and completed on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. This is a project of great significance to ensure national energy security. It is a project of trust, strength of great solidarity, taking people as the root. The project demonstrates the development aspirations of the country and the Vietnamese people. The project connects the regional economy, creating new momentum for the development of regions and areas of the country.
The Prime Minister pointed out 4 major lessons from the 500 kV transmission line project that need to be promoted and applied to key national works and projects in the coming time to contribute to the country's rapid and sustainable development. In particular, the Prime Minister emphasized: Experience in leadership, direction, management and command with the mindset of being clear, determined and taking drastic actions. Lessons in promoting the strength of national solidarity, working together, enjoying together, winning together. Close coordination between central and local enterprises, between state-owned enterprises and private enterprises, implementing "4 on-site". We must start from the patriotic emulation movement to arouse patriotism, national pride, self-esteem and mettle of the Vietnamese people in the face of difficulties and challenges to help the country develop strongly and prosperously.
The Prime Minister also noted that immediately after the inauguration ceremony, EVN and ministries, departments, branches and localities will focus on environmental restoration, protection, safe and effective operation of power lines, and transparent project settlement. EVN will continue to invest in developing power sources, improving the efficiency of transmission and scientific distribution of electricity to serve production, business and daily life of people and enterprises. Localities will continue to pay attention to taking care of long-term livelihoods for people, especially households affected by land acquisition for project implementation...
