Building a high quality pediatric hospital

Deputy Director of the Hanoi City Civil Construction Investment Project Management Board Nguyen Ngoc Tuong said that the Hanoi Children's Hospital project was approved by the Hanoi People's Committee for implementation from 2021 to 2024. The project started on April 1, 2022, and the construction of equipment was completed in August 2024, shortening the implementation time by 6%.

Up to now, the project has completed 100% of items and work, ensuring time, quality, technique, aesthetics, environmental protection, security and safety during the project implementation, and no work accidents occurred.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha said that to practically celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, since the end of 2023, the city has directed the implementation of comprehensive activities in all fields. The focus is on emulation movements; propaganda and promotion of the image of the Capital and the country; gratitude activities, ensuring social security, repairing houses for poor households and disadvantaged families; inaugurating and starting construction of projects to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.

Up to now, the activities have been basically completed according to the set schedule, in which 29 projects were organized to have signs posted to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital at the city level.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee said that the project to build Hanoi Children's Hospital was identified by the City as one of the key projects of Hanoi invested in the period of 2020 - 2025 with the goal of building a high-quality pediatric hospital with advanced and specialized technology.

After nearly 2 years of preparation and construction of the project with high determination, the project was completed and put into use on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

 

On this occasion, the Chairman of the City People's Committee decided to reward 3 groups and 12 individuals who had outstanding achievements in implementing the Children's Hospital Construction Project.

Hanoi Children's Hospital is the first general hospital specializing in pediatrics in the city, with 24 specialties, spearheads, and in-depth specialties. The operation of Hanoi Children's Hospital has affirmed the efforts, endeavors, and responsibilities of the entire political system of the city in implementing the goals and Program No. 08-CT/TU of the City Party Committee, contributing to the successful completion of the targets set by the Resolution of the 17th City Party Congress.

On behalf of the leaders of the City People's Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Vu Thu Ha acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the efforts of the City Civil Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Department of Health, Ha Dong District and other departments and branches of the City.

“With a sense of responsibility, dynamism, creativity and determination, the units have closely and effectively coordinated in the process of implementing the project and organizing the activities of Hanoi Children's Hospital, determined to complete the project and put Hanoi Children's Hospital into operation on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital” - the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized.

Hanoi Children's Hospital has a modern, spacious architecture, synchronous and high-quality medical equipment. In order for Hanoi Children's Hospital to become a leading pediatric hospital, ensuring the care, protection and improvement of health for children in Hanoi and neighboring provinces, the City People's Committee assigned the city's departments and branches to perform a number of tasks well.

In particular, the Hanoi Department of Health continues to direct the Children's Hospital to complete its organizational structure, supplement human resources and equipment, serve medical examination and treatment, direct the line, conduct scientific research and training, and research and develop specialized technical services at the forefront of the industry.

The hospital also receives and masters advanced medical technical services in the world, gradually professionalizes hospital management towards high quality standards, builds a hospital culture of "Doctors are like mothers", "Good expertise - bright medical ethics".

The Department of Health will continue to research and review the medical examination and treatment needs of local people, and soon advise on investment proposals for phase 2 so that Hanoi Children's Hospital can reach 500 beds, worthy of being the leading pediatric hospital in the capital and the final line.

In recent times, Hanoi has always received attention and coordination from central departments, ministries and branches, especially the Ministry of Health in ensuring social security in general and health care for the people of the capital in particular. In particular, support for research, development and submission to the National Assembly for approval of the Capital Law (amended) with many new and more complete points on institutions, mechanisms and policies specific to the city.

“Hanoi City hopes to continue to receive the support of central agencies to improve social security, care, protection and health care for the people of the capital. At the same time, we will continue to support the capital's health sector to develop specialized and general hospitals at the specialized level and meet the criteria of being a leading hospital, taking on a national role in the national health system,” Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Vu Thu Ha emphasized.

 

Hanoi Children's Hospital (Yen Nghia Ward, Ha Dong District) was built with a total investment of 654 billion VND from the city budget. The project was newly invested with all necessary items, including outpatient examination and treatment blocks, paraclinical technical blocks, administrative and logistics blocks according to the hospital's capacity and usage needs, inpatient treatment block with 200 beds...
