Delegates at the national conference to review the Party's inspection and supervision work in 2023 and deploy tasks for 2024
Self-reflection and self-correction are still limited and difficult.
In her speech, Standing member of the Secretariat and Head of the Central Organization Commission Truong Thi Mai commended the results of the implementation of inspection and supervision tasks of Party committees and inspection committees at all levels in 2023 and since the beginning of the 13th Party Congress term up to now.
In particular, the Central Inspection Commission has actively advised the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Central Executive Committee to issue new documents on regulations and procedures in inspection and supervision work, meeting the requirements of Party building and rectification in the new period.
The Central Inspection Commission and inspection commissions at all levels also strive to fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party in the face of many objective and subjective difficulties, meeting the requirements of Party building and rectification, completing a large volume of work, including difficult and complicated tasks, to continue implementing the policy of "no forbidden areas, no exceptions, regardless of who".
Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Commission Truong Thi Mai
According to Ms. Truong Thi Mai, although much has been learned, the issue of self-reflection and self-correction is still limited. If the mistakes of party members are not detected early by the grassroots party organization, by the party committee, by the cadres themselves, but are only detected by the authorities, there will still be many difficulties in the work of building and rectifying the Party.
Therefore, in the coming time, Party committees and inspection committees at all levels need to continue to pay attention to performing well the inspection and supervision tasks from the grassroots level.
At the same time, continue to recommend and advise the Party and State to amend, supplement, and perfect regulations, statutes, processes, policies, and laws to strengthen prevention and reduce violations by officials, especially violations not intentionally committed by Party members and Party organizations but due to unclear regulations and incomplete policies and laws.
Resolutely handle corruption, negativity, and group interests
Concluding the conference, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu said that in 2023, the work of Party building, rectification, and the prevention and fight against corruption and negativity continued to be promoted, achieving many important results. Many difficult, complicated, and long-standing cases were inspected, concluded, and thoroughly handled, while newly arising cases with in-depth, specialized, and closed expertise were also discovered and handled promptly.
The year 2024 will bring many opportunities and advantages, but also many difficulties and challenges; violations by party organizations and party members will continue to develop in a complicated and more serious manner, especially violations of political ideology, lifestyle ethics, corruption, negativity, and group interests.
Head of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu
Therefore, Party committees, Party organizations, and Inspection Committees at all levels need to seriously and effectively deploy and implement the new regulations recently issued by the Politburo and the Secretariat. For example, the Politburo's regulations on controlling power, preventing and combating corruption and negativity in inspection, supervision, and enforcement of Party discipline and in inspection and auditing activities; regulations on apologizing and restoring the rights of Party organizations and Party members who have been unjustly disciplined; regulations of the Secretariat on rotating cadres in the Party inspection sector, etc.
At the same time, promptly detect, inspect and resolutely handle party organizations and party members who have degraded political ideology, lifestyle ethics, self-evolution, self-transformation, corruption, negativity, and group interests; cases and lawsuits under the supervision and direction of the Central Steering Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee on anti-corruption and negativity.
The Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee also requested localities and units to promptly complete and report the results of inspections related to AIC Company, FLC Group, and Van Thinh Phat Group. These are all inspections requested by the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption and Negativity.
