The inspection delegation of the Secretariat worked with the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the implementation of Conclusion 21 of the Central Executive Committee.

This morning, December 21, at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Inspection Delegation No. 1477 of the Secretariat led by Comrade Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission, worked with the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the results of leadership, direction, dissemination and implementation of Conclusion No. 21 of the Central Executive Committee.

Comrade Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission led the Secretariat's inspection delegation to work with the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Attending the meeting were members of the Inspection Delegation and members of the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of leaders of a number of advisory agencies, Secretaries, and Party Committees of a number of Party organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In presenting the draft report on the results of the inspection of the leadership and direction of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the dissemination and organization of the implementation of Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW dated October 25, 2021 of the Party Central Committee, the Inspection Team assessed that the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has seriously disseminated and organized the implementation of Conclusion 21 to party organizations and party members throughout the sector through the issuance of many directive documents, plans, specific programs and synchronous implementation of many immediate, fundamental and long-term measures, thereby creating strong changes in Party building and rectification at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since the beginning of the 13th Party Congress.

In addition to the achieved results, the Inspection Team pointed out some shortcomings and limitations such as the coordination in some Party organizations in performing political tasks and inspection and supervision is not really tight; the management and grasp of the ideological, ethical and lifestyle developments of Party members abroad are still limited in some places and at some times. The Party Executive Committee members and representatives of the Party Committee of the Ministry and some key units discussed with the Inspection Team about some issues in Party building work, especially cadre work, Party work abroad; put forward some proposals and recommendations on building cadres, implementing Party work and managing Party members abroad.

The inspection team assessed that the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had seriously implemented the dissemination, popularization and implementation of Conclusion 21.

In his concluding remarks, comrade Le Minh Hung highly appreciated the determination and efforts of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in leading, directing, and organizing the implementation of Conclusion 21 and Plan No. 03 of the Politburo to implement Conclusion 21; resolutely and seriously implementing plans to overcome the limitations and shortcomings previously pointed out by the Central Inspection Commission. Thanks to that, the Party building work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has achieved many important results, contributing to the successful implementation of foreign affairs tasks. Since the beginning of the term, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has proactively and actively advised the Politburo and the Secretariat to issue many documents and regulations, not only in the field of foreign affairs, but also in the work of organizing, building the Party, and managing party members abroad.

Comrade Le Minh Hung emphasized that the spirit and content of Conclusion 21 of the Central Committee are closely linked with the political tasks of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; requested the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to continue to promote the achieved results, continue to thoroughly grasp and organize the implementation of Conclusion 21 of the Central Committee, strengthen inspection and supervision of party organizations in implementing Conclusion 21 and the instructions, programs and plans of the Party Committee; proactively lead and direct the review, supplementation and completion of regulations and statutes as well as advise the Politburo and the Secretariat on policies to handle specific issues in overseas party work in accordance with the new situation.

Comrade Le Minh Hung emphasized that the political tasks for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be greater in the future, requiring higher responsibilities; he requested the Party Executive Committee to closely coordinate with the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and agencies to streamline the apparatus, review and complete working and coordination regulations and rules, successfully organize party congresses at all levels, build a contingent of cadres at all levels, especially at the strategic level, to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son affirmed that the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to coordinate with the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to resolutely and effectively implement Conclusion 21.

Receiving the direction of comrade Le Minh Hung, comrade Bui Thanh Son, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the Party Committee fully grasped and soon concretized the conclusions and directions of comrade Le Minh Hung and the Inspection Team into plans to better implement Conclusion 21. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the thorough understanding and good organization of Conclusion 21 created a new atmosphere and new motivation, bringing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs into a new stage of development.

The Party Executive Committee has made great efforts and determination to lead and direct the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to synchronously implement many measures on Party building, preventing "self-evolution", "self-transformation", corruption, waste and negativity; the direction and management work has become increasingly scientific, methodical and transparent with a system of more than 100 regulations and working procedures in key and regular fields having been issued.

The Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to coordinate with the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to resolutely and effectively implement Conclusion 21, proactively research, advise, and propose solutions to strengthen and improve the quality of Party building and rectification work in the diplomatic sector, including Party work abroad.
