Opening of Vietnam International Exhibition of Electronics and Smart Devices

On the morning of October 30, the Vietnam International Exhibition of Electronics and Intelligent Equipment (IEAE) officially opened at the Hanoi International Exhibition Center (ICE), Hanoi.

With an exhibition area of ​​6,000 square meters, the IEAE Exhibition attracts more than 260 units from China and Vietnam, focusing on displaying advanced technologies and innovative products, smart designs such as: consumer electronics, mobile electronics, smart wearable devices, computers and computer components, smart home appliances, electronic accessories and components.

This exhibition brings together the latest products and most advanced technologies from more than 200 brands and research and production factories from Vietnam, Korea and more than 16 provinces and cities in China, providing exhibitors and visitors with the opportunity to learn from each other and find common ground.

Speaking at the event, Mr. To Ngoc Son, Deputy Director of the Asia-Africa Market Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said that the continuous progress of science and technology has brought us into the era of Industry 4.0, where the electronics and smart devices industry has developed unprecedentedly and plays an essential role in all aspects of life, from production, trade, healthcare, education to entertainment...

In addition, electronics and technology with their amazing applications have been and are contributing to changing the way people interact with the world around them, towards an increasingly smarter and more connected future.

In that general trend, Vietnam today has become an increasingly important link in the production chain, supply chain in the region and the world in the field of electronics, household appliances and smart devices. Not only that, with a population of over 100 million people in the golden population structure period and a continuously high and stable economic growth in recent years (in 2024, Vietnam's economy is also forecast to grow from 7-7.4%), Vietnam is also a very potential consumer market in this field.

In 2023, Vietnam's export and import turnover of computers, electronic products and components will reach 57.3 billion USD and 88 billion USD respectively, accounting for more than 16% of Vietnam's total export turnover and more than 26% of Vietnam's total import turnover with the world. In the first 9 months of 2024, the export and import turnover of this group of goods will reach 52.8 billion USD and 79.1 billion USD respectively, accounting for nearly 18% of Vietnam's total export turnover and more than 28% of Vietnam's total import turnover.

"The three-day exhibition will be a good opportunity for the domestic business community to enhance exchanges, seek opportunities for in-depth cooperation with international partners, increase global connectivity, expand markets and improve products in the field of electronics and smart devices; contributing to promoting the sustainable development of the electronics and smart device industry in Vietnam," said Mr. To Ngoc Son.

In consumer electronics, there are Shenzhen Chengtai Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. (T&G), Dongguan Starmax Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Hainoteko Intelligent Co., Ltd. participating.

The Vietnam International Electronics and Intelligent Equipment Exhibition (IEAE) takes place over 3 days from October 30 to November 1, and is expected to welcome over 10,000 visitors.
