Visiting Hai Phong, Korean diners who tried it for the first time fell in love with the special pan-fried bread with herbs.
As one of the most popular reality shows in Korea, Battle Trip has repeatedly chosen major cities in Vietnam as destinations to explore tourism and cuisine.
In the episode exploring Hai Phong city, actor Park Jun Gyu and young singer Sandeul (member of the group B1A4) had the opportunity to enjoy the famous pan bread of the port city.

Two Korean diners decided to dine at Baker - a banh mi chao restaurant located on Cat Cut Street, Hai Phong City. Although it is just a popular restaurant, the space is spacious, airy and there are quite a few snacks such as chicken cakes, fried spring rolls, fried cheese...
The pan bread at the restaurant costs from 32,000 - 52,000 VND/portion with a variety of toppings for customers to choose from such as chicken thigh pan bread, beef steak pan bread... If customers want to add more bread, they will have to buy it for 3,000 VND/piece. This surprised the two Korean customers because the price was so cheap.
Pan-fried bread is a strange dish for many foreign diners. According to the program's introduction, the bread will be eaten directly with toppings on a hot pan including fried eggs, sausages, pate, beef, cucumbers, herbs... and tomato sauce.
Korean diners say that pan-fried bread is quite similar to curry but has a stronger buttery flavor. Screenshot
As soon as the dish was served, the two Korean guests exclaimed over the enticing aroma. The bread dipping sauce was compared to the taste of curry, but with a stronger and more seductive buttery aroma.
At first, singer Sandeul shared that he did not like coriander, even thinking that this herb smells like shampoo. However, he later surprisingly affirmed that coriander is extremely fragrant, easy to eat and very suitable to eat with dishes like pan bread.
With its distinctive aroma and refreshing taste, coriander is an unexpected element that balances the flavor of the pan bread: "Eating this dish can be boring, but coriander will help reduce the feeling of fullness. Even without coriander, it will feel quite bland," the male singer affirmed.
Korean diners even ask for more of this vegetable and eat it all deliciously.

Overall, the pan bread dish is considered fresh, cool and very easy to eat for foreigners. Although called a snack, the pan bread dish is full of nutrients, has a large portion and can replace a main meal.
Two Korean diners said that children will also love this dish because of its easy-to-eat flavor and many attractive side dishes for diners of all ages such as sausages, eggs, fried potatoes...
