Huynh Nhu and teammates received big bonuses from AFC

Thanks to these two victories, coach Nguyen Hong Pham's team won the right to enter the quarterfinals as the second team in Group C. In the quarterfinals, the HCMC women's club was awarded an additional 80,000 USD.

Thus, after the group stage of the AFC Women's Champions League (Asian Women's Club Championship) 2024-2025, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club received a bonus from AFC of up to 220,000 USD (nearly 5.5 billion VND).

This is a huge number for a domestic women's football team because nearly 5.5 billion VND is the amount of money that can support a women's football team for about a year, while the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club won this amount of money after only 3 matches in the group stage of this year's Asian tournament.

However, AFC has not paid yet, but will wait until the end of the tournament to distribute the prize money to the participating teams. HCMC Women's Club has a high chance of winning more prize money, if they reach the semi-finals of this tournament.

The huge advantage of the HCMC women's football team is that they will play the quarter-finals at home (in a single-elimination format), only having to face one of the following opponents: Bam Khatoon (Iran), Abu Dhabi Country Club (UAE), or Wuhan Jianghan University (China). These teams are not too strong.
