TPO – On the afternoon of August 28, the leaders of Vinh Thuan District People's Committee (Kien Giang) officially directed to immediately stop the school transfer and requested to organize the opening ceremony of the new school year at the old school of Thi Tran Secondary School, after the principal of this school arbitrarily hired a unit to transfer the facilities to the new school.
Accordingly, the Chairman of Vinh Thuan District People's Committee requested to stop the transfer of Thi Tran Secondary School (transferring cadres, civil servants, teachers, staff, students and facilities) from the facility in Vinh Dong 1 ward, Vinh Thuan town to the new school in Vinh Phuoc 2 ward (the two facilities are 3km apart - PV).
In addition, in the 2024-2025 school year, Thi Tran Secondary School will open and conduct teaching and learning at the school in Vinh Dong 1 neighborhood. The District Department of Education and Training is assigned to direct Thi Tran Secondary School to organize implementation according to the above content.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Thuan district also assigned the district Department of Education and Training to urgently review, inspect, urge, and prepare conditions; clean, arrange classrooms and facilities, equipment, ensure safety for students to study, and serve the opening of the new school year.
As Tien Phong reported, previously, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong - Principal of Thi Tran Secondary School (Vinh Dong 1 Quarter, Vinh Thuan Town, Vinh Thuan District) arbitrarily sent people to transport the school's desks, chairs, and equipment to a new facility in Vinh Phuoc 2 Quarter. Regarding this school transfer, parents and teachers have not received official notice from the leaders of Vinh Thuan District People's Committee and the District Department of Education and Training.
Regarding the above incident, on August 23, the People's Committee of Vinh Thuan district held a press conference about the above school transfer. At the press conference, the leader of Vinh Thuan district explained that the district had a policy to transfer Thi Tran Secondary School to a new location, but there was no official decision yet. However, the Department of Education and Training was slow in carrying out the procedures, while the new school year was approaching, so the school principal was somewhat impatient, so he arbitrarily did it first.
